TCP is an entrancing story masterfully told. Walker does not beat around the bush, but jumps straight in to the hard stuff. Celie is a wonderful character and her emotions become so personal. I think my favorite moment was when she and Shug discuss God and religion. There are so many good and big and real moments in this novel, it makes sense why it is on the banned book list.
