Ralph stops what he's doing when he picks up a different signal in the Hivemind, it's not something he recognizes immediately, a lot's happened since the last time he saw Giga.

The ex-Marine is found in one of his usual spaces, he's hanging out in the rock candy mines with his son Junior.

The echos of thousands of bugs screaming as they were obliterated in the beacon. Its in hero's duty to if you can hear the hivemind you can hear them screaming while they die... -He frowned- That's what she told me.... and even the marine said that about heros duty as well. But i've never heard it.. I know a lot of its gone in the mountain -he made a face- It's faint but you know i died with them as well.. Stupid light instincts...

"Oh. Yeah, I uh, I remember that." He was actually immobilized by the screaming, it was part of what kept him alive during their time in Hero's Duty. "At least their suffering's over, right?"

That's one reason -he eyed Ralph suspiciously - I feel bad.. about the queen thing and the cybugs... and the screams thing and one time the queen told me something about the mountain I lived in -he frowned as he shuddered.-

"The screams thing?" He was curious now and moved a bit closer. "What screaming thing? And what about the mountain?"
