Social Media ?? Why not?
germany is celebrating 25 years since reunification these days and it is annoying because you cannot drive anywhere but also it is crazy to think that my sister was born at a time where you could not set foot in half of this town. and also it makes me realize over and over again how much freedom I have bc I can travel wherever I want (almost) and you know, I can go outside and dont have to worry abt being watched every step of the way, I can even go online and chat with other people and even though someone might be watching at least it’s not legal and normal to do this. they showed a photographer on tv who said ‘I have about 500 sets of negatives from gdr that I never made into pictures beacuse of the stasi (the east german nsa essentially)’. like he literally did not bring these pictures to be developed because he KNEW someone would see them and he would have to face consequences for taking pictures of punk concerts. anyway idk what this post is about anymore but germany is pretty wild history wise.
