How did you start out? what would you recommend people like me that wish they could be getting published as often as you and hope that someday we could live off of what we love doing.
Write as often as you can and read as often as you can. Figure out the things that inspire you and stick to them but also branch out. Explore all the different kinds of poetry & prose until you find a style you like; blend styles together if that feels right. Accept rejection and use it to move forward and improve. Read literary magazines. Do your own research on various writing processes, including publishing. Get connected with other writers. Avoid cliches. Use unique imagery. Don’t let someone else like me do the research for you- use your own drive and your own initiative. Try your hardest. Forgive yourself for your shortcomings. Love what you do.
