Ok writing this here so I'm not in someone's tags about it
But I hate ai. Yes yes the here's the usual spiel about how AI is bad. But I just want to be blunt and forward with this. I hate generative ai. Especially in fandom spaces. You can write bad fics, you can make bad art and we as a fandom will still accept it. I don't see why we have to ask some stupid machine with no personality to make stuff for us. We have hands, we have brains, and more importantly we have personalities unlike these bots that don't.
Someone in one of my fandom spaces used as in a fic to write prompts. And mind you that this fandom I'm in is VERY against ai, even the creator.
What I'm trying to get at here is that Gen ai is bad 1) for the environment 2) for artists and fic writers alike and we should stop using it to make stuff that lacks the whimsy of creating something for a fandom that you love.
