Mmmm hot take but, if you’re tired of all the sm.ut dominated spaces, book-tok aligned plots and threads, spice heavily decorated blogs — complaining isn’t the key. Write what you are demanding there should be more of. Complaining and snapping at authors who write smut because they aren’t wiring fluff or angst, is foolish. You want more of these genres? Angst, fluff, sci fi? Well guess what most consumers ( aka readers ) turn into authors, so get busy and write what you wanna see 🤷♀️ get out of the spaces and make your own find your people. Stop hanging around these genres and demanding folks change, they don’t have too.
