Have y’all ever procrastinated so much to the point where you can’t even bring yourself to the computer because it reminds you of work? Me too.
My midterm is due in two days (It’s current 1:54am on a Monday, currently punishing myself for not doing any work by not sleeping) and I don’t even have my thesis. HONESTLY? I have no FUCKING idea what the hell I’m arguing. Why? Because I’m a dumbass.
If anybody is curious, my topic is on WWI with focus on Woodrow Wilson. Easy topic. I know. (Side note: this mf was so eloquently spoken but literally did nothing for black people. Also, there are differing accounts, but I don’t think he liked educated women.)
It’s sad because I usually like research papers when we can choose our own topics. *sigh* Then I procrastinated. Then my laptop only reminded me of school (a bit ironic since I’m literally on my laptop writing this post). All around me are reminders of why I’m literally going nowhere in life. I have no idea why I thought that I could actually do this.
I recently came across this quote from a TikTok or something: “It’s not motivation, it’s discipline.” I have thought about this quote for some time and it’s stuck onto my brain. I have no self discipline. I keep asking for signs from the universe to give me motivation, but I don’t have the discipline to act on it.
