     Could I have enjoyed this season more? Yes. Did I enjoy it nonetheless? Also yes. The rushed storyline made it seem as if there was so much more missing. White haired Alina? Does not exist. David and Genya????? Half dead. Zoyalai??? No idea. RIP to the Darkling. You will not be missed but Ben will.

     Nikolai was everything and so much more. The Crows were amazing and Matthias dominated his 2 minutes of screen time. The Kanej tension is everything I live for. Everything about Kaz this season was Book Kaz. Freddy did an amazing job! Wesper? Gorgeous. 

     As for Malina? Terrible. And whatever they’re trying to do with Inej and Tolya has to stop. But the cast is absolutely amazing and I love their chemistry and friendship. 

     There were too many storylines in one main storyline that some characters felt underutilized. I could have done with more Ben Barnes. I do admit, I love Alina’s new found abilities and the introduction of other living saints. 

     While I love that the show is basically Leigh’s fanfiction come to life, I need stable characters and storylines. And they basically used three books in one season and thought it was going to be great. I still need more though.

Only Murders in the Building szn 2

SPOILERS!

And we finally know who killed Bunny. I did not expect that actually. Totally thought that Cara’s character did it. ABSOLUTELY LOVED the slow motion moments. Was a little sus that Charles had “died” then made so much sense when the ad was over. But Poppy, (*clears throat*) I mean Becky, being the killer?? And with Kreps? So then Poppy was there for her own investigation in Oklahoma with Cinda when she met Kreps? And not a single person recognized her for it??? She did, in fact, have an ordinary life, but I respect Cinda for pinning Becky’s “death” on the sleazy mayor. Definitely thought that the killer was a man just because of the build. Maybe it was all those clothes but Poppy looked kinda buff with allat. 

I did just need one clarification. The day Bunny died, she met with someone. Mabel explained it was Cara’s character (I cannot, for the life of me, remember her name) because she wanted to buy Bunny’s painting. But then we saw in the flashback, after Mabel got the phone call from our favorite cop, that Bunny had said “14 Sandwich” referring to the deli shop sandwich that Poppy loves. Some freak sandwich combo that had the character’s questioning whether or not it was real. So was it actually Poppy asking about the painting because she was going to do her own podcast or was it Cara’s character?

Then they do the time jump where we see the lovely Paul Rudd play Ben, who I’m assuming is a very famous actor in that world. He also apparently has it out for Charles and vice versa. A woman seems to have come between them? Charles showing his protective side and I can really only name two women he would be that protective of. Well, three counting his new girlfriend. So who was Ben getting too close to? Lucy or Mabel? Or maybe his new girlfriend? Also, I feel like Paul Rudd just shows up wherever he wants to now and it’s always a lovely surprise. 

Then he just died. By poison? His death was delayed so it happened before or even when he was in his dressing room. Then there was also that blood spilling from his mouth. Also, can we just take note of how beautiful Selena looked in that dress???

There are some parts about growing up that I was never prepared for. Being financially independent, for one. But that’s another problem on it’s own. I never thought about how dependent I was on the friends that I had known all my life. I couldn’t have fun without them. Or rather, I couldn’t have fun by myself. Slowly, I’m getting over this and learning to be by myself. Growing up is difficult. I still wish that I had lived a lot more when I was younger, but I’m starting to realize that my life starts whenever I want it to. The only thing really holding me back is myself. And money.

Summer 2021

Obviously, for the past year or so, everything shut down and nobody was allowed to do anything. Me being the introvert I was and finally able to not see the kids that I grew up with meant that I had time to myself. To grow and prosper and all that mindful goodness. But then everything started to open up again and students were coming back from their respective universities. So maybe everything would be a lot more fun? Wrong. I know that making plans and going out doesn’t always mean I have to make plans and go out with other people, but I kinda missed those assholes. Well, some. I’m only friends with around five now. Anyway, I had a bucket list of all the things that I wanted to do this summer. Preferably with the friends that I hadn’t seen in forever, but they are off doing their own shit. Whether it’s school or work. And yeah, good for them. But I do think that spending time with me is way more fun. They’re only here for a limited time and they’re stressing themselves out with school or work. It’s only been a couple of weeks of summer. Counting this week, it’s officially been two. For me.  But I want to have fun and almost die a couple times. Maybe make friends with a wild animal. I do not want to spend the rest of my days being sad about the friends that can’t or won’t make time for me. And, yeah, I should also communicate with them that I miss them or whatever these stupid feelings are. But I won’t. Why?

I’m probably not going to be friends with them in a couple years. I would love to, but given the fact that I have absolutely no idea what I want to do with my life and they do, I’m just gonna guess that our paths are very different. I’ve made the effort. I’ve tried making plans and some were successful. But they don’t really meet me half way. At least, that’s what it feels like to me.

Life Lessons From A Brain Surgeon

Ever heard of Dr. Rahul Jandial? He’s the real life McDreamy! He’s a neurosurgeon based in LA that travels to underdeveloped countries to help people with neural complications and is part of several groundbreaking clinical trials. (well, I know of one. He’s amazing and incredibly important in the medical field so I’m just going to say that he’s been in more than one). He’s living the life that I have always dreamed of living. HE HAS AN MD AND A PHD. Seriously, how cool is this dude. Bottom line, he’s incredible. I want to be him.

I have absolutely no idea what to do with my life, but here’s to hoping that 19 yr old me does better.
