What do we call it when you’re not blocked exactly but you’ve just stared at the same chapter for so many weeks you’ve become incapable of thinking new, proper words for it but you know you can’t move on until it’s finished because it’s a crucial turning point in a character’s motivation?

Also, how fix?

When I'm making character sheets, I like to find an image to stick on there that's an approximation of what the character looks like.

Pinterest is perfect for this because there are like a thousand boards people have already made for "character inspo" or "teen character inspo" or "brunette girl character inspo" or whatever.

However, try typing "adult character inspiration" into pinterest and do you know how old the oldest people in those images are? They are like 35 at most. People on Pinterest think Dev Patel is OLD.

This is extremely inconvenient if your protagonists are like, in their 40s.

Ok I need a push to start today. I came up with the fix for this chapter last night, it’s all here in incoherent notes waiting for me to translate it in, I have means and opportunity, it just feels overwhelming for no reason. Someone kick me!
