I just want to add on to what you said to the blank blog anon if that’s okay!
Although it’s so extremely helpful, I think it’s only partially about helping your writers reach a larger audience. It’s also about showing that the writer’s reach to you specifically mattered as well! So even if you don’t have any or many followers, reblogging or commenting helps the writer know that you liked the story (and actually read it) which is just as important and helps so much with a writer’s motivation.
You could also just put a heart in the comments instead of just liking or even say “really good!” and I’m sure any writer would appreciate it. And I don’t mean to say that a writer is completely desperate for any kind interaction, but what I do mean is that even the smallest gestures amount to something sweet and helpful. Just know that you’re making someone happy on the other end and let that lead you! ♡
Absolutely agree. While I’m confident that all is writers still appreciate likes, a comment or a reblog with a gif or reaction makes us so much more giddy and excited 💗 and then usually, more motivated:)
