Alys Duskwoode, six foot tall goth Thighlander who decides the best course of action when confronted with a primal is to bop it with a sword. Sometimes two swords. Sometimes an axe. And very rarely, a gun.

I consider her "canon" job to be Samurai, but she's got her roots in Rogue/Ninja and Lancer/Dragoon before that.

She's got a bunch of dresses, a room in the FC house and occasionally crashes on a couch in her friend Dahni's house in the Mist. Known to turn into a blushing wreck when flirted with. Sweet on her friend Dahni'to, even though he's dating another catboy.

I’ve been staring at this for a good ten minutes (this is tomorrow’s prompt; I try to start writing a prompt the day before, or at least come up with an idea), but so far I’ve got nothing.

Any ideas?

I hate my writer’s block so much because it’s nothing that a good idea/inspiration or regaining motivation can fix, because I DO have both of these things ...

The problem is that whenever I sit down to write, I have to fight with every word and then I look at my writing it feels lacking and terrible, like all my skills as a writer have completely left me. 

I can’t not write anymore bc I have no motivation, and I can’t not write anymore because I’m out of ideas, and I can’t not write anymore because I’m procrastinating: I can’t write anymore because I LITERALLY CAN’T WRITE ANYMORE. Or at least not like I want to write. 

It feels like I have been stripped of something that was vital and important to me, and I’m sick and tired of it. 

I want to be able to write again, without hating every word I pen down, without deleting my draft over and over again and then giving up because it feels clumsy and unrefined and bad and won’t even get better if I come back to it later to fix it.

Writing is hard

Kids don’t leave your large research papers until the day you have to turn them in. I didn’t really mean to or have a say in some of the time I didn’t do it, but like... do your papers.

That said, I’ve been working since 1 (aka on and off focus which is all my brain can do anymore) and I am as of now 2 lines onto my 7th page of my 9-12 page research paper.

It is very much a draft. It kinda sucks and is pretty repetitive so I hope I end up with enough stuff so that I can make some cuts.

Also this is by far the most convoluted point I’ve ever tried to make. It’s about Hotspur’s masculinity and I’m dying. It’s awful. I’ll see y’all on the other side/make more updates as I feel like it during my writing breaks. 

If anyone has tips on some nice classical music that is good for writing I think my current collection only has about half an hour left so please send suggestions if you have them. Thanks kids. And remember, learn from my mistakes.

Wait, you've been writing a ton this week and last (esp with all the holiday stuff going on)? Thanks for all the effort you're putting into writing stuff, don't take any shit from anons who can't even write a full sentence!

Thank you dear. I’m trying to be consistent with my writing now that I’ve actually gotten back into the swing of things after finals killed my creativity.
