The Irish are so fucking funny
When you need help in your writing endeavours so you ask for the help of those before you, the help of those who suffered before you.
Little misadventures
I don't post much personal stuff on here, but this was something I had to share. Today, I went to my local boozery to procure some liquified inspiration when I found this:
Now, generally I'm a rum drinker but when I saw this, my first thought was "I need it." It's a bit pricey ($55 a bottle, or £40 if ya nasty) but I feel like it would be worth it. Personally, I have to be in a very specific mood to drink whiskey neat, and it isn't the low, self-loathing mood that results in writing. But I've heard that the distillers are using only the highest quality, locally and ethically sourced writer's tears, and repurposing them sustainably, so why not give it a shot?
I'll agree, @writers-hq... but I'd also like to add that a simple enough cure (for myself at least) is a pint and the renewed determination to try again.
If this ain't a mood...
But how did they get my tears to bottle them?!
Just when I think I understand you completely, I find out a little more. I don’t think I’ll ever unravel the enigma that is you.
Writer’s tears
I am amused. This evening's whiskey Advent calendar offering was Writer's Tears (of the cask strength variety). Which, as it turns out, taste lovely. Not bitter or salty in the slightest. ;) It is not my absolute favorite of the Irish whiskeys on offer thus far (that'd be the Teeling 15-year old Revival) but it is a close second. And I'm totally keeping the dram. Because it's adorable. Also, cask strength writer's tears. *nods*
