My heart is in my fiction, but day-to-day, week-to-week, most of my fannish writing is non-fiction (I have commitments!). Here is a line from my long-delayed Celeborn bio. There are those who think my non-fiction is the product of a fervid imagination and a warped perspective of canon--so here goes:
There is no romantic first-meeting scene of Galadriel and Celeborn like those of Beren and Lúthien, or even the growing attachment between Idril and Tuor, much less the fairytale-like description of Aragorn falling in love with Arwen that one finds in the Appendices to The Lord of the Rings.
