Found an amazing book today in Waterstones in Livingston, “Rice’s Language of Buildings”. As a writer, I’ve been looking for something like this for ages. Especially for historical fiction, I’m forever trying to find out what the correct name for a part of a building is and often have trouble, even with fairly good Google skills. This has pictures, labelled, as well as explanations and that’s exactly what I wanted!
