Writing Cards
Kiki looked at the cards lying on the table. Each of them was as blank as the thoughts in her head. She was never decent with words – Billie usually wrote them out for her. However, she had to see her grandma at the hospital.
She sighed at the cards before her. She grabbed one adorned with a highly decorated Christmas tree out of a Charles Dickens story. She gulped as she opened the card, dreading the task ahead of her. Why did it have to be so hard just to figure out what to write – and who to write it to?
