Dumb Things My OCs Do (Part 1/?)

Today I saw a post reminding people that July is the start of Cancer season, and immediately my horrible writer brain did this:

Rose: (An astrology loving cream puff) It's Cancer season everyone!!! Have fun controlling your impulsive moods!

Aris: ??? I don't think cancer has a season.

Tavi: No, no Ari, she means Cancer like in the zodiac. You know, Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer...

Aris: OH, you're saying she is referring to the strange phenomenon in our culture that says the position of the stars at the time of one's birth somehow determines one's personality?

Tavi: -sighs- Yes. That...that is what I mean.

You know how Google Docs sometimes shows your name over your cursor even though you’re the only one in the document?

My brain always takes this as a sign, like “Yes, thank you for reassuring me that the FBI is not currently messing with my computer, it is I who is typing these words.”
