If anyone wants to listen to my annoyed rambling, go on.
So, one of my writing projects was heavily based on a game, Black Desert Mobile. I wanted to write along the main story and add my own things to it as it goes on, my own bits of relationship development between especially two characters.
And after months of absence from said game, I come back finding that the developers basically rewrote the ENTIRE story, leaving only cutscenes in between as they previously were.
And now, since I can't, for the life of me, seem to find where I previously left off [note; I've played the mainstory 4/5 times so far, only revisiting everything because of that writing thing] and everything around that part has changed, I've come to the very sad conclusion that I can't continue with that project of mine even if I wanted to.
Not sure whether to be dissappointed at myself for not being as active and only revisiting after the change, or at the devs because they apparently thought writing the entirety of the main storyline anew was a good idea.
