My idea was to show the finding of the ring on the sight of a murder where the victim had disappeared.
My outside broadcast is not only based around lord of the rings but also has references to game of thrones as well.

Unit 36 - Interview Techniques
In this essay I shall explain the different types of interviews and the techniques.
Here are a couple that I have identified:
Promotional-This would be where someone is being interviewed about a specific product or company that the interviewee is trying to promote. They would be answering questions about their product or company.
Political-This would be an interview with a member of parliament or some sort of government to find out the latest news in politics. There would most likely be a lot of closed questions to try and get the direct answers out of them.
Celebrity-This is where the interviewer is interviewing a celebrity which could be in a new film or it could be subjected around something big that has happened in their life's. This would most likely be one of the most popular as it is the one that people would be interested in the most.
Confrontational-Interviewers quite often have to deal with people who do not want to be interviewed. For example people in court rooms who are referred to as hostile witnesses. For journalists especially, these types of interviews requires a lot of preparation.
Investigative-This could be where the interviewer is trying to find out more about the subject or trying to find out more about an event or hobbies they take part in or have had happen to them. A perfect example of this would be the interview in the stone hill farm documentary. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NO1PEwE1Piw
Entertainment-This is a more relaxed form of interview which is more like a conversation or podcast. This could be used in interviewing someone after something like the Xfactor where the interviewer wants the subject to be themselves. A good example of this is an interview about the new star wars films which is set up in a podcast like fashion and all of the subjects look and sound very comfortable. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0vAUAmDkK8
Life style-A life style interview would be an interview around every day life events. They would be used typically in reality television shows or on the news.
There are also different types of questions that would be used throughout these different interviews.
Direct question or the "killer question"- Requires no build up, it just goes strait to the point. This could be used in a political interview or a confrontational interview where the interviewer is only interested in one thing. The facts.
Multiple questions-These are questions that can lead up to more than one possible answer. They may be used in investigative interviews that are based around opinion there for leading to many possible answers.
Closed questions-This is where the interviewee is only really able to give a yes or no answer. This is very not used very often because the whole point of an interview is to gain information and that type of question is not a very good way to do that.
Open questions-This is where the interviewer asks a question that allows the interviewee to go into great detail about their chosen subject.
The interview that I have chosen to examine is the interview between Hayden Christensen and George Lucas.

The style of interview is a cross between celebrity and entertainment. The two subject actually take their questions from the audience and the style of questions are a mix between open and multi answer questions.
The reason why I see it as an Entertainment styled interview is that the two subjects look incrediby comfortable which is most likely because they know each other. Also because it is more like a casually discussion with jokes exchanged between them.
