WritScrib is like REALLY fuckin’ cute because like it’s a BRAND NEW lil baby website that is still in beta and so all of us are just SO HAPPY to be there and excited to experience new things and we’re all just a bunch of fuckin’ chuffed lil babies who have no fucking clue what we’re doing but got damn if we aren’t there and figuring it out together. there’s a lot more interaction going on than on websites liek deviant art where we’re all just fuckin bored and jaded and just SO done so we just fav things and run and the only time you’ll ever get any kind of attention is from your own watchers. and they have a fun lil discord server where we been sharing our art to each other and having lil convos together and everything is just exciting and new and it’s such a nice frame of time to be. where something is just getting started up and so there isn’t a TON of people yet but we’re all just hopeful and excited for the future and its pure and innocent and good. like yeah, atm the website is a lil bit of a mess and it’s a bit difficult to figure things out, just like with anything. but it shows such nice promise and so far, the developers have been transparent with what features they are developing and what features they hope to add and stuff. its new enough that even the wiki still hasn’t been completed but i kinda like that, because it’s like you and a bunch of people are in this together and you’re all learning the features together and how to get things done. it’s just....really cute.
What happened to Writscrib?? A lot of people were really excited about it being an “alternative to tumblr” that would actually succeed and would be better for content creators, and even got into beta with several people getting accounts, but its tumblr is gone and its main page doesn’t look like it’s letting people in, now. Weeeeeird.
i fully endorse the new writscrib indiegogo campaign, both because we’ve watched the level of toxicity in tumblr’s ecosystem reach a truly poisonous critical mass but also just recently we’ve witness just how vulnerable this site is to literal russian social engineering and misinformation tactics
but also writscrib, you absolute tools, why the fuck did you make all of the text in your campaign page images
for one, that’s tremendously shitty to anyone who uses a screen reader
for two, it’s also pretty shitty to blind fucks like me who sometimes need to copy text into notepad just to read it
gdi
but yeah support writscrib, we need life rafts out of this fucking site
Well, it was fun while it lasted.
Y'all eventually got fucked in the end because you don't know how to run a website. Nice. Here's your L, writscrib.
Disappointed but not surprised that Writscrib failed. I had high hopes for the project and I still think it’s a good idea for a platform for original projects (not Fandom, nope), but in the end I think that for a project this size the team was not experienced enough by far. Plus there was quite a lack of professionalism at times and a lot of talk versus actually getting the features out which hurt the project in the long run. You also should not change the base coding like that, forcing your user base to move. That was a really really unfortunate decision and I think one of the main points after which its popularity declined.
is anyone else having trouble accessing writscrib’s website? and the website’s twitter + tumblr accounts?
Saw that post about WritScrib closing again, and I guess it'd be normal to be annoyed (which I am), but I'm really more disappointed that a chance for a seemingly decent alternative to this shithole fell through.
