Can't get over poor Solomon

Every time I reread it, I think of how it would have gone if Wriver was canon and Quiver was alive . He probably wouldn't have found out Solomon was dead until a death toll got read out. And hs might have tried to convince himself that Solomon was alive, that he would be fine...but Quiver was expecting his name on the death toll and he still hates himself for it.
