So, this year someone with my exact same name started at my university. They're ex-military and heterosexually married to someone currently deployed, and I keep getting goddamn emails for them.

I already corrected the lady sending the emails, but she keeps. Fucking. Sending. Them.

Anyways yeah this is why the veterans affairs department of my university is never invited to shit by the other DEI-adjacent departments. They're a mess

I got attachments and everything omggg,,, took the screenie before i sent a reply in case they deleted the email out of embarrassment. Caleb and I have the same last name (Hence me blacking it out) so I got it instead. omg i have been waiting for this my whole life. I LOVE WRONG NUMBERS WEEEEE I will reblog if they reply

So my email's just my first name right? Which is fine cause I have a really uncommon name, but it results in me often getting emails meant for other people with my name.

Today's edition had someone emailing me because the person it was meant for was in a Parkinson's group and they were offering the group a free painting class. I felt bad cause it seemed really nice and the person it was meant for didn't know about it so I replied saying they had the wrong email so that they'd fix it.

The person replied saying "y/n is a really unique name, i'm confused"

Uh yeah, it's unique

But I'm not the ONLY PERSON ON THE PLANET with the name!

Have had some trouble the past, ooh, few years with people entering my e-mail address incorrectly and me getting all sorts of weird e-mails. I've been given log in details to rate student doctor's, been kept abreast of a teenager's poor performance in mathmatics, constantly cancelled one guys RedBox account, and even had remote access to a guy's car.

Latest, but I guess least exciting, is getting to leave a one-star review with Holiday Inn that- weirdly- just had my one-star review of the Richmond I-64 Holiday Inn complaining about their data integrity be posted online.

I don't often ask for much, but I sure would appreciate it if people could click the review as 'helpful' to help get to to the top of the pile.
