I lowkey feel like M*ynard would purposefully poke fun at Ley, mainly for fun and out of annoyance if her by finding her useless due to her disabilities and slow cognitive levels.

I also think it would to piss off Sawtooth in a way by calling Ley names, taking advantage she doesn’t understand what are names that mean insults. But unfortunately can’t do anything because they seem to really obey their father, but at least try one time when he defended Three Finger in that one wt5 scene
