As a French person who doesn’t know anything about it and lived in Bordeaux, buying wine is the most stressful experience.
#what if I buy something disgusting ?!#people will judge me!!!#wrong type#wrong name#wrong year#there are so many things I can get wrong#it’s terrible#especially when it’s red#cause I don’t drink red#sooooo#and have you seen wine aisle in french supermarket ?#yeah no you haven’t#there is WAY TOO MANY#anyway#my mom was like#go buy some wine take whatever seems good#HOW DO I KNOW?!!!#if I’m lucky enough there is a nice old lady or a white guys that’s way too happy to help#and I can ask what to choose#but if I’m alone#then it’s plouf plouf as we say here#people have expectations and I’m not up to them 😔#also I know this post will probably not be reliable to any of my followers#but i needed to tell y’all about the trauma that it is#ps when I say white guy it’s because white French people love to show how much they know about wine#it’s cultural lol
