“ do you read the stars? ” a weird question by all means, though one that clearly fascinates the bartender. for once, she’s sitting on the other side of the counter, somewhat leaning towards the woman, a hand beneath her chin, curiosity shining through wooden brown eyes.

     Like a magpie attracted to shiny objects, Selma was drawn to the shop window that displayed such unique and stunning jewellery. Glancing up at the sign above her head, she murmured, “Whit and Whimsy,” to herself over and over as she entered the store. 

      It didn’t take her long to find something that was fit for a queen, or a princess in her case.

     “Excuse me? Miss?” Clicking her fingers as if she is better than the rest, she nodded towards the piece of jewellery behind the glass. “How much?” Her voice soft like cotton. The plastic tiara tilted on her head and lip stick smeared up her cheek.
