kiha laughs quietly with her words and can't help the fond smile that appears on his lips with haeni being this cute, looking up from his phone where he was finishing typing the lyrics that just on his head and he needed to write them down or else he'd just forget it about. he tries to rush the last line, knowing it wasn't exactly what he thought but he's sure that he can always fix it when he actually sits down to work on it, besides it's one of the few times that haeni so downright ask for his attention so he doesn't feel like he can say no to her either way.

haeni has always been more of the shy and quiet side of the personality spectrum. even though kiha feels like she has opened up a little more to him since they've known each other, even miles feels like he's more comfortable in demanding things and being somewhat loud around kiha — though that might not exactly be a very honest comparison considering how long he has known miles when comparing to how long he has known haeni but his point still sort of stands —, so her words do take him a little by surprise, but it's a nice surprise. kiha would love if she was more often like this.

"alright, big baby." he coos and puts his phone on his pocket, words laced with affection and gentle smile still on his lips. "you have my full attention now." and then he extends one of his hands because kiha also knows that haeni is a little jumpy with physical attention especially one that she isn't expecting so the main vocalist does take note to be mindful about that, to not suddenly pull her into hugs or even something as simple as holding her hand without offering and waiting for her to take it.

"do you want a hug?" he asks very sincerely and waits to see if she's going to accept it or not. and then kiha frowns, a thought coming to his mind. "hyuk didn't do anything again, did he? do i need to talk to him? you know i'm very good at scolding people so just let me know."

Seojin spent the past hour and a half combing over his lines and practicing. Sing, play guitar, drink water. Repeat. He became so entrenched in his work that his mind drifted away from the schedule he was supposed to be on. Hunger pulled at his stomach and tension pulled at the muscles in his shoulders.

Slowly, Seojin made his way down from the stage, guitar pick between his teeth. Soundcheck was going smoother than he anticipated. Though, he nearly swallowed the pick when a passerby suddenly spoke to him. He’d been in his own little world the entire time. He didn’t even realize they were tagging along with him until the last possible moment. He collected himself and turned the guitar around his body toward his back. From his rear, one of the stagehands groaned with anxiety at the action. It would have to be something they needed to get used to when dealing with the sort of attitude Seojin had.

Lackadaisical like any self-proclaimed wannabe rock star. He supposed one would wonder why one even wanted to have music shows associated with their image but Seojin knew he could use all the publicity he could get ㅡ even if he only intended to do so once, this time. The longer the public referred to him as the 'Itaewon Class OST guy', the further he strived for another form of recognition. Unconventional promotion was certainly a way.

He was halfway into a sip of water when his manager tapped him on the shoulder. "Someone is here to see you. A girl named Haeni?"

Still tangled in his mic setup and guitar strap, he hurried down the backstage halls to his waiting room without a hint of hesitation. A large smile came across his face at the sight of the young woman. Her presence was always a positive; even when exhaustion was trying to girl at his ankles. Perhaps someone would have given her a hug but Seojin knew she was not comfortable with those. He settled for a pat on the shoulder instead.

"Haeni! Hey, what are you doing here? Some Yuseong asshole drag you to be an assistant for a group? And you got so bored you needed to see me, right?"
