With beautifully sad songs like “I Need A Light” and “When Rain Falls,” you’d think either would make my list but this track by Damiano set the tone and mood of #Lookout and carried the overall message of its characters. As always I loved #LeeShiyoung and #LeeYoungkwang proves with every project why I picked him long ago as my favorite out of his model-turned actor homies. OST Track: AMEN by Damiano (feat. A summer show that I’m positive is much better in marathon. But for #JiChangwook’s first foray in to rom-com I was very pleased because he was rewarded with a great character and an excellent partner. It was also the first time I actually just plain liked him in a role. Having RA.D, Jongwan and Bumkey on this OST was also pretty wonderful as well. If I had to pick an OST that showcased the most of my favorite voices it would #RuleroftheMask. For not only did #HwangChiYeol grace us with his presence but there was #Hwanhee, #Suran AND #KWill! This makes the list not because I actually like it or even listen to it (#sorrynotsorry😏) but because it gave me a hearty chuckle and Sang Mi’s expression is the mirror of mine, when it played in the show. Pfft. I mean, there’s sleigh bells and tons of sampling 🤣🤣🤨... However, I do believe it works well for the character it sets to “depict” and I actually felt sorry for him for like 3 secs because of it. The track is also a clever insertion because if Kpop boy bands can find there way onto OSTs why not boy bands from around the world, right? I honestly believe more and more English tracks will creep their way onto official releases and depending on the choice, I won’t be mad at all. Ninety percent of the #MissingNine OST is instrumental and I absolutely love it. For unfortunately this year, vocals haven’t been my favorite aspect of music. #Kenzie & #NileLee are wonderful and did great musical direction in these pieces solely because the majority of the album would have you believe these 9 people went on a tropical vacation, rather than being stranded, starving, solving murders and seeking out killers.
