we've seen two (2) different characters who understand their world is fake and wish to break out into the real world, player be damned. coomer tried and failed and changed his mind, the gnome succeeded but later changed his mind. what if in hl2vrai there was a character who was the exact opposite. "this is my world, these are my friends. if you beat the game both will die. i can't let you win."

i hope in act 3 darnold shows everyone a slideshow presentation of what he's been up to the past 20 years a la the hl2 beta

ultrakill players in 202X when they defeat gabriel for the third time, he dies, and right as they're about to head for the exit a deathcatcher shows up

everybody's talking about the Nebulous Connection™ regarding Benrey and Stain but i'm over here thinking about the Nebulous Connection™ between Gordon and Al?x

i don't have a clip for it but when gordon disconnects, there's music playing in the background. a high-pitched chord played on strings.

now it could just be there to add to the weird state gordon was in, but the fact that it slowly gets louder and louder makes me think of "the song they sing at the edges of the mind"...

very normal about the prospect of ravenholm in act 3.

yeah sure this is the level with all the corpses. in a series where floating corpses is common imagery. i'm sure nothing Bad will happen. grins
