#Repost @jwhittdesigns from Tyler, Texas ・・・ Here's the other award I got this weekend. Sooooo many people asked for "the meaning" so here ya go, hang with me...This piece was done on my good friend Trenton. He has always been a pretty slow but extremely intelligent guy so his nickname has always been turtle. The dude has been through so many trials and tribulations. The butter on his back is to help get him through these things smoothly("smooth like butter"). The rope is to help him climb mountains and repel from obstacles that may get in his way(which isn't easy for a turtle). The trapper hat/beanie is an extremely meaningful part of this tattoo..The plaid print we went with is the same exact pattern that was on his great great great grandfathers favorite work shirt that he never washed and had a very distinct smell that Trenton has never forgotten. And last but not least, you read all this for no reason at all because this tattoo has zero meaning 😂... Just a good time with great friends. I did this drawing in 2012 shortly after my apprenticeship and Trenton has wanted it from day one, we finally did it a few months back(fully healed in the pic).
