Luciano is actually so ballsy tho... Because WDYM she decided to befriend the RAIDERS of all people, and somehow through her whimsy she SUCCEEDED??? Nonetheless GOT WITH THEM ROMANTICALLY?... Like damn, okay, work it babes.
I love the fact no one batted an eye when I started popping out with my Luci x Raiders stuff in 2025 in addition to shipping Luci with Eli + Shannon + Angel + Minna on top of that. Because it's the zombie apocalypse rn for them + it's me being cringe and free, do we really give a shit? Love is Love.

From THIS POST- WTD Headcanon designs! (+ Extra stuff because this is my latest obsession, and this involves 4 side characters I personally adore) (there is also some fixing for the WTD universe for my version of WTD, because I could. I'm saying this post is incredibly long)
Aaaaaand here's the beautiful deer eyed woman- Shannon Fox!
(You can see the stuff I added and fixed on this post.)
Headcanons:
- I like to think my girl here is an absolute animal lover. Like if she isn't in the lab doing anything, and if she isn't needed, she'll be by the Ironmount stables feeding some of the horses and petting them. "They're relaxing and beautiful creatures!" - Shannon
- social anxiety got her FUCKED up. She's obviously anxious as we see in the story that if she's talking in front of so many people (the "rescue everybody but in reality it's just to see if the hive idea was true" chapter), she had to take a quick minute to get her thoughts in order. I like to think that because of how isolated she was in the lab she grew up in, with getting comfortable with talking to few people everyday and not big crowds, she's developed a fear of big public speaking.
- her little niche is cells and microrganisms (MO). Cells & MO in humans, cells & MO like the parasite and other stuff thats in the zombies she dissects, cells & MO in plant matter and other things. She could go on for days about cells, MO, and how awesome they are, and everyone will gladly let her talk their ear off if it means she can be comfortable.
~ to add onto this: because my MC is obsessed with bugs and likes to yap to everyone about each insect she finds, the group has gotten accustomed to 3-hours-no-break yapping sessions of niche infodumping. So when Shannon got comfortable enough to start talking about cells and microorganisms, everyone was fine with it. Encouraged it even because hearing her talk is nice.
A little fixed upper:
I love her being a sweetheart li is great, love it. However, I feel like that shouldn't be the absolute main of her characterisation.
I feel like if she was a bit more socially awkward, and leaned into a more "quiet, intelligent, hard to talk to unless it's about what she's into" then she'd be a bit nicer. And her sweetheart-ness would be revealed through the story after she warms up to the cast.
Like imagine if during the first 3 chapters at least, she would be typically more quiet and only add in info she thought was relevant and/or a smart observation to any conversation the group has, and depending on how you acted towards her and if you took any diamonds scenes with her- then she'd be either a little more talkative to you early, or still be in her shell until a pivotal moment in the story.
Said pivotal moment could be when everyone becomes aware of the 'mutated' zombies, and she jumps in and tells everyone of her theories of their existence as (In MY WTD universe) she had studied them before, and has always had this theory of a hive for these zombies or there being a king of hierarchy with the zombies. A quote from her "all animals work in a pattern", so she must assume zombies would too as they're technically an animal at this point in the post-apocalyptic world.
The other characters would see her as closed off, maybe even stuck-up (as most people who are quiet are usually seen as. Me included.) as she's a scientist and must be insanely knowledgeable about the world, however when she warms up to everyone and starts getting confident in talking then everyone... Do you see the vision?
She can be pragmatic and logical, but only when it comes to science and such. If she had a big flaw, I think her freezing up at small signs of trouble would be fitting. By trouble, I mean the sound of danger nearby. She hears a growl around the corner of a place and goes still, and needs a little push of reassurance to help her get out of it.
She may be equipped with knowing and understanding zombies to a degree, but she isn't equipped with killing them ho's.
I want her to be a "smart scientist who happens to be a sweetheart" rather than "sweetheart who happens to be a scientist". Her being intelligent should be first, her sweetness second.
Will workshop this ofc. This is the rough draft at the moment.

"WHAT ABOUT US? WHAT ABOUT EVERYTHING WE'VE BEEN THROUGH?" "what about trust!?" "You know I know I never wanted to hurt youuuu~" - High School Musical (I've never watched a damn HSM movie in my life as I'm Australian)
Notable changes include taking that fuckass harness off his chest because it ain't doing shit, and giving him crochet fingerless gloves. I also made his skin a little more 'sick' looking, as he (and The Tower™ escapee gang) had been stuck in a fluorescent light concrete hellscape for over 20+ years and presumably haven't seen or felt much sun. He's still tan though obviously, this man is ethnic.
Headcanons:
- this man probably loves apples. Ever since he was introduced to Sunflower Creek and the apple orchard, he definitely takes an apple a day to keep the doctor away and is munching on one at least once.
- has a thing for everyone else in the cast. I think it'd be fun if it was like an alternative LI type of thing for him. Depending who you romance in WTD, and who you don't romance- he may romance them! Like if you take Eli for example, he may go for Shannon or Angel (maybe Sledge even. Maybe.) he seems particularly fond of Shannon, so it isn't that crazy to say.
A little fixer upper:
Troy Hassan is quite literally just some guy. So I leaned into that. He doesn't have anything that spectacular about his design besides his jacket, but I feel like he would win the players over by being so genuinely charming. The problem originally with him is that he's written as charming, but he isn't. Unless you love him like I do, but I can see the flaws with his writing regardless.
It'd be better if he was a kind man, who had a huge heart to help people, and was smooth with his comments. Maybe he would be sassy, and absolutely audacious- but that would add onto his charm.
If he cracked jokes at times that genuinely had the right atmosphere for one, and was sassy when the situation let him be- that would be much better than him being flirty and making old-world references every chapter. His main flaw could be that he may be a little insensitive at times, like cracking a joke in a very unsuitable time and getting people pissed at him for that, which would make him more human, in my eyes at least.
He could be good at making calculated-risks, like when he left MC & CO at the haunted house and then later came in and busted knuckles' face with his shoe, and would be a comedic relief with a heart of gold.
I also think that, even though he's literally just a guy, that if he were someone who was actually a valuable asset besides being MCs unemployed friend on a Thursday then more people would like him more than they did before. Like, let's say, at The Tower™ whilst being a supply depot, he was once signed up with helping med bay with anyone sick, injured, or suffering any kind of ailment. He has medical knowledge up his sleeve, and would be the one helping people recover.
If I genuinely go through with that "re-design" idea, then he would've definitely ripped some of his shirt to make a makeshift bandage for Eli's scratch wounds after Eli got bit, and would look after him with Shannon after MC goes and gets an Epi pen.
If he had knowledge like that, he'd be really valuable to the people playing as he is a medic and could help in times of crisis, and this would be way better than leaving both research and medicine all on Shannon's shoulders, and they would care about him.
Like he's a guy. But with how he is as a character, everyone would know him and be able to separate him from other characters easily because of how much of a lovely character he is. He doesn't need an interesting design to be remembered.
That's what I think anyway. He's like this in my WTD universe. So yeah, deal with it.
Will workshop this ofc. This is the rough draft at the moment.

ELIjah SIPES EVERYBODY.
Notable changes: got rid of the weird belt thing that wrapped around his leg that he once had, made his hair a little more curly and etc because curly haired Eli is beautiful and I think it makes him look a little nicer than his original hairdo.
Other than that, I like his design already.
Headcanons:
- has a fear of clowns. The idea of someone wearing bright colourful clothing, making poor jokes as they did cheap tricks is horrid + the face paint and overly bright noses- HELL NAH.
~ this fear came to him when his mother once talked about the old world, and commented about the killer clown craze of 2016 which made Eli go "what?" And she got a bit too into telling what the clowns wore and what they allegedly did to people.
- he knows how to skin animals for hide to made clothes for winter. Like if he gets a rabbit, he'll skin it and eat the meat and crush the bones into powder for fertilizer of the little garden he has in the back, and then clean the hide and turn it into a beanie for example. A great skill.
- is silent because in his childhood he used to be a blabbermouth, and that got him in trouble with attracting nearby zombies as he went outside with his brother to pick veggies, and had a close call with being bitten then.
~ he was scolded, and then became considerably more quiet.
A little fixer upper:
Eli is a very serious li. Which makes sense, there has to be SOMEONE who grounds everyone in the group, however I feel that he should be... Somewhat silly.
As a character, if he was serious and calculating as well as being shown to have a sense of humour and having nice cute moments with the gang after getting to know them more (like in the amusement park chapter. If there were more scenes of him interacting with the gang and having cute moments, then it'd further his personality), then that would elevate him a bit. Eli Sipes is prepared for the apocalypse, but he's not prepared for being around other people when he isn't in danger.
His flaw of not knowing how to properly interact with other people should definitely be more fleshed out. Like if he got a bit more frustrated with the gang every so often with them being incompetent in certain situations, than that'd make him much better in my opinion.
In my mind, Eli Sipes keeps to himself and is stoic and knowledgeable about survival, and clearly gets frustrated at people who aren't or act stupid, however behind it all he actually is a very witty person who genuinely likes spending time with his new companions in WTD. Being his (presumably) first ever friends, he's figuring it out with everyone else as he is able to just... Live.
Will workshop this ofc. This is the rough draft at the moment.

Ms Angel Savage, weapon-building expert, at your service!!
Notable changes: made her fishnets into leggings, gave her a long sleeve shirt underneath because girl... The ELEMENTS. and have her a fishnet shirt under all of that, because her being in fishnets during the literal apocalypse is Camp I'll admit. I also changed her hair so it was a quarter-shave on her right side and tied the rest up because as much I love her real bob... Hair in the way of fighting and building weapons (her bombs) is DANGEROUS.
Headcanons:
- she has an insane niche for infrastructure. Like she likes when a building looks and is built to last forever (unlike the modern old-world homes that are cardboard walls and shit). She goes insane when she's at Skyweld because DAMN the builders and engineers there did a great job, and she also really loves the lodge as it really was made to last forever with its thick wood log walls and ceiling and stuff.
~ she heavily appreciates all small details for houses such as nice archways, hidden compartments, etc...
- is a heavy asf sleeper. Has to be drowned in cold water in the face to wake up type of deep sleep.
A little fixer upper:
Angel is a very energetic, bubbly, bright and lively character. Which makes sense as she said herself that having high morale helps keep you alive, especially in the APOCALYPSE. However... I think her backstory and stuff could be tweaked.
As someone did say, she indeed has insane plot armour because surviving in a mall from 5 til now? That would imply that the mall she and her late parents lived in hadn't been picked through and wasn't a place for survivors to go for supplies. However with the amount of zombies and stuff, the mall must've had dozens of survivors past and present try and get stuff.
So instead, maybe she had been living in a small settlement with her parents until she was 18, and they all had went to the mall (she now lives in) for any supplies as they're all needing some new clothes, and hopefully plan on getting non-perishables. During the supply run, Angel is gushing out over how the Mall is still standing and how it could house her entire settlement in here. As they're on their way upstairs, they get jumped by zombies and Angel is able to escape the fray and grab a broken mall chair to attack the zombies with. It's too late for her parents as they both have gotten bitten, but she still kills the zombies and takes her parents somewhere where Z-bags aren't around. She knows of the rule "You get bitten, you get taken care of", but she just can't bring herself to kill off her parents... But she also knows the settlement she lives in won't allow her to bring her bitten parents.
So she makes the somewhat spontaneous decision to stay at the mall. It's good, holding up well after 2 decades, she knows there'll be good supplies, and it's big enough so she won't get bored when she has to look around...
To the dismay of her parents who are adamant of her finishing them off and for her to go back to the settlement, she just cannot bring herself to kill them.
For the next 7 years, she is living in the mall. Her parents are now fully turned, chained up to a pole in the storage space where she workshops her new traps and weapons. Because she's alone and constantly needing to keep a high morale, she is low-key and kind of insane (at least with getting far too excited with using bombs and acting reckless).
Anyway, that's my rough draft rewrite of how she ended up in the mall.
I feel like her personality is sound. Passionate, ecstatic, emotional, and off her rocker when it comes to kicking z-bag ass? I like that. I don't want to change it, I just think the only other thing we can have with her is to have more raw and emotional moments with her (that aren't behind a paywall scene) because the trauma of seeing and keeping your parents who are dead (and now fully gone if you chose to get rid of them) cannot be veiled for too long. I wanna see her and MC having a talk and she confides in how she genuinely feels as she hasn't allowed herself to properly grieve and MC can help her get through this in the following Angel/MC scenes as MC has been grieving the death of their sister and Angel can heal as she has an actual good social group, aka the cast.
Will workshop this ofc. This is the rough draft at the moment.

SLEDGEHAMMMMMMMMEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Notable changes: made her much more tan as I assume she must be out in the open when she's not on screen and getting lots of sun. Made her eyeshadow more dramatic as... Well girl if you're gonna be the leader of all raiders then you may as well go out and put that black eyeshadow EVERYWHERE. Skull tattoo on her neck as well, and gave her a red lacy top underneath because I think it's Camp and I assume tops like that wouldn't ever be picked as they seem impractical so she took it after seeing it left in some store + pure leather on skin HAS to be uncomfy (especially with sweat and the friction when running & fighting yk?)
Headcanons:
- HAS A BIG, GIANT, HOOKED NOSE. SHE DOES argue with the wall if you refuse her nose isn't hooked on this blog. #bighookednosedsledgereal
- I feel like she'd love dogs and would have a soft spot for them. Before joining the raiders, she had a short-term dog pal who stuck with her for months. Named him "Nippy" because the dog always nipped at her ankles. Nippy ended up saving her from zombies as he barked and drew attention away from the zombie herd that was gaining on her. Nippy is presumed dead, however Sledge never saw the body. Nippy was a puppy-transitioning-to-teenage dog too, so maybe he's out there somewhere...
- doesn't admit it, but she likes the sunflower creek pastries. That shit is scrumptious, and she had like 5 apple tarts during the alliance talk because goddamn that food was so good and melted in her mouth and omgpastryissogood.
A little fixer upper:
Sledge is cold, brutal, and stoic. Which is nice in contrast for the general LI selection you usually get in other books. However, there's nothing indicating she can be a romance option as she's far too cold. Like I love her regardless, that's bae right there, but bae is not acting like bae. Unless you pay for scenes, she's just a companion (which I fucking hate. She was probably added last minute and PB didn't even make her a CG which I'm mad at still... Like GIVE HER A BADASS CG HO), so here's some little changes I think would make her much more LI-coded than "person who just also happens to be a LI, but only if you got money."
I love the fact that she is explicitly flawed, however she has flaws that cover 90% of her character. And I don't vibe with that. I think she'd be a nicer LI if she was... At least 60% cons & 40% pros. She can be hypocritical, nonchalant, blunt, and I'll let her be tough and opposing. But I think what would be nicer is if she was a "actions speak louder than words" gal. Depending on how you interact with her, I think if you had a good enough relationship with you she would genuinely and unintentionally try and understand you.
My MC Luciano has a niche, which is bugs, and will yap about them for hours. I like to think my version of Sledge would have a great memory (specifically verbally) in which she can remember key details in a conversation she has. And unintentionally the next day she makes a joke about something looking like a niche bug that Luci yapped about. If she cares about you, and I mean really cares about you as a companion, she'd probably listen to you a little more closely about basic things about yourself and remembers. "No particular reason, I just remember that" she says as she gives you something that relates to a niche you adore.
I'm low-key rambling here so lemme just tell you the pros I've added to her: when she cares about you, she's much more attentive to what you're doing and will genuinely listen if you yap. She'll act like she's annoyed, but she'll still listen. I feel like her being discreet about her emotions would be great too and would make hella sense, as she's originally characterised as a tough strong woman with big muscle and a bigger "no fucks" attitude honestly, and I think the tension of romancing her and knowing how she truly feels about you, like even though her face is stony- you can see her gaze as she looks at you and it's full of this fire, burning desire one might say. And this is specifically for the romance side of things, but dude... I feel like she's the type of lover that is lowest-of-keys a bit protective/possessive, like she sees someone oogling at you and she hits them up the back of their head, y know? Like she sees you dancing with someone else let's say and she's drinking from a glass and she acts unbothered however the glass she's holding cracks with how tight she is holding it... Listen, slightly like green jello & possessive Sledge sounds so nice, please hear me out-
And she's definitely a 100% passionate lover too. You want a kiss? Your lips are bruised from how hard she pushed her face to yours, want a hug? Your ribs almost cracked from the sheer pressure of her arms around you, I feel like she'd be like that (and it's canon honestly because I once did kiss her and she had nails digging into your arms and everything... DW MC ISNT GOING ANYWHEREEEEEEE).
In summary because holy shit this is so much writing: she's still stoic, a hypocrite, and blunt and tough, but she can also be attentive, discreet, passionate, and protective. Which I think would be nice.
Plus, in my version of PB WTD, she has free flirt options that aren't behind a fucking paywall.
Will workshop this ofc. This is the rough draft at the moment.

Minna Arborgast, the woman ever!
Notable changes: not a lot as I love her design and she didn't need much to add. I did make her a little more dirtier and gave her a short underneath her lightly ripped sweater.
Headcanons:
- Muscular. This woman has biceps under that cropped PPE long sleeve, c'mon now. If she's been welding, moving argon gas tanks, and carrying heavy shit for years she's bound to have something.
- spars with Hatchet specifically in the sparring arena that my colony has, and likes to arm wrestle with her. Hatchet is her bestie in my mind.
- carries Garrote & Knuckles over her shoulders when she's done with their bullshit.
A little fixer upper:
There's nothing bad about her, besides the fact she isn't fleshed out more and we don't get to hang out with her much besides the one argon gas tank mission where Shannon got traumatized.
Because she isn't fleshed out and such, we can only use the chapter 8 chapter and its entirety as a way to get info on her and her short cameos in the other chapters.
When she first came up, I went "oh? 👀" Because she was beautiful asf and caught my eye. I am mourning that you can't even flirt with her, but anyway- with the fact that she is a character that we see so often, I really feel as though we should be able to spend time with her (+ other side characters such as Knuckles, Garrote, Hatchet, Boots, etc) on their own instead of relying on the MCs to want to spend time with them and only be with them in extension to being with one of the MCs. I feel like if we spent time with her at least, we could get a fortifications score as we hang out with her and grab metals to weld some stuff together and we are able to talk about our colony's defenses, ask questions of her and her background, and maybe a kiss option. She's fucking gorgeous she should've been a kiss option. And after this, she's a bit more prominent in the story as we've spent time with her and we're able to chill with her in the story.
C'mon now, do you SEE the vision?
As I know from her character wiki page, she's tough and helpful and I remember her being a little humourous in chap 8 about the argon gas tank exploding. She also is chill with Garrote and Knuckles, so that tells us she's okay with a little off-the-rocker chaos knowing the raiders are heavily weapon-happy and like murdering infected in fun ways. If we were able to spend time with her though, maybe it would actually cement her characterisation to us more permanently.
Will workshop this ofc. This is the rough draft at the moment.
However there isn't much new to say as I love her and she's also my wife btw and is a nice side character. Just could've had more...

KNUCK-BUCKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!
Notable changes: constant sunburned tan. Why? Because I assume that he must the main suspect when cleaning zombies for Sunflower Creek so he gets Hella sun, however he is white and sunscreen must be a rare thing to find so... I also made his skin more blushy, added more piercings for edginess, and gave him a ✨mullet✨
Headcanons:
- folds for Garrote and Minna easily. This man, as tough as he may seem, is a loverboy and folds easily idc what you say. "I need a apple-" *gets a bucket full of them*
- can tattoo, and did for extra food from Raiders as a hustle. He can do both a stick & poke and the regular needle gun.
- is deathly afraid of spiders as he once got bit and almost died. This was a few days after becoming an official raider
A little fixer upper:
Knuck-buckkkkk... He was my fave the first time I met him, I'll be honest. Bitch is CHAOS, and he also is effortlessly funny at points and just a bitch in general (at first anyway with the sunflower colony)
The wiki has nothing on him. Like there isn't anything on the personality page... Shit.
What I REMEMBER though is that he's loyal asf to his gang, is VERY chill with MC and even hypes them up when they finally join the raiders and stands up to Dirk when MC & Raiders go back to Firelights, and he's a vibe. He looks like he grows and smokes weed and lays in the backseat of his car when he's smoking it up ngl. Idk what to say about him because of the fact he isn't expanded on as much. Like we get many moments to see him, and see his interactions with other people, but still... He ain't got shit.
SO LETS FIX THAT FOR MY BOY.
I'm giving him mood swings and making him emotional, because he DEFINITELY does that or something like it cannonly. When he doesn't know you, he wants you dead and will follow you until he cannot no more. When he DOES know you and you become a raider, he's ride or die- which I think is very extreme so let's lean into that. Let him be an extreme ball of emotions he can't control easily. I also think if he were seriously morbid then that would be fun, like he asks morbid questions such as "what if we drowned someone in gas and lit them on fire?" and someone around him goes "dude what the fuck, not right now". I also think it'd make sense if he had no impulse control, a little like Angel does, because then since they're kind of similar in how they are and act then Knuckles could start having friendships outside of the Raider gang (which would be really nice to see).
There really isn't much to say about him, I'll be legit. He's my fav side-character, but I can't think much about him besides 'EXTREME, EMOTIONAL, ENERGISED WITH A THOUSAND SUNS' which is sad, because he's obvi much more than that. But alas that's all my brain can think of ATM.
Will workshop this ofc. This is the rough draft at the moment.
⫷◇◇◇♡◇◇◇⫸
"Alright, pull your Hatchet's out!" -insane clowne posse (coming from an ex-Melanie Martinez fan, ofc I find ICP to be cool as shit. Don't know how I feel about the singers though.)
Notable change: gave them eyeshadow because eyeshadow is so fucking funny yet cool and it makes them look more like a raider then a badass bitch (which is fine. But I associate heavy black eyeshadow with raiders), and their nails have black eyeshadow on them to mimic black nail polish because their nails are fucked up and they don't like looking at it.
Headcanons:
- likes sparring random people in the sparring arena that Luci has at Firelights, an excuse to flex their muscles.
- likes to tease Sledge when they aren't on a job because they think it's funny seeing Sledge's stone cold face slowly morph into anger the longer they keeps annoying her
A little fixer upper:
Hatchet is one of the Raiders I adore. They ain't expanded on as a character that much (unless you buy the diamond scene where you go into the Raider's storage garage, then you spend time with them and if you get the car you get to see how they fight with their chains in a moving car).
I feel like if we had something with them, like we suggested with Minna, a one-on-one side quest where we can spend time with a side character and get to know them better or a group of side characters we wouldn't normally be able to be with in the main story.
From the wiki, I know theyre snarky and sarcastic. That's all. From what I remember, they follow orders from whatever boss they have (even if they low-key question it.. and I'm assuming the boss is respectable because remember they did kill the last one with the rest of the known raider gang), and can be chaotic like all raiders are typically. They're buddies with boots so that implies theyre chill with nonchalant people and is cool with knuckles so they also can chill with chaotic people as well. To expand their character, they need flaws and more characteristics like "interests, dislikes, etc"
For flaws, I think they were remorseless and argumentative then that would be interesting. Imagine it- Hatchy arguing with Knuck-buck over something as small as him taking the good gun and not letting them take it for a go around one time, and they end up pushing Knuckles down to the ground and walking away like nothing happened and not feeling even a tinge worried that Knuckles just ate shit. That'd be a recipe for a low-key, but good disaster.
Maybe they'd have an explicit interest in ways of killing infected and offers MC to come learn how to be more fun in killing zombies.
I just think MC & Hatchet could be really cute as a duo. Shush.
Will workshop this ofc. This is the rough draft at the moment.
⫷◇◇◇♡◇◇◇⫸
Garrote-Carrot!!
Notable changes: gave him arm warmers, eyeshadow (same reasons for hatchet), and a small matching nose piercing with his bf knucllesss.
Headcanons:
- folds for Knuckles and Minna easily. Like I said, seems rough but this little guy is a loverboy fr. "I want some wat-" *brings a gallon of water in a clean bucket*
- a killer masseuse. I feel like he'd be good at massaging and probably has to massage aches out of fellow Raider's muscles after a taxing scouting mission.
- likes the colours light blue and dull green. No particular reason (totally not the colour of his fav people's eyes, totes noooooot... 👀)
A little fixer upper:
Garrote-Carrot is very cool. But again, same with knuckles, besides their relationship with eachother and how they immediately take a liking to Minna, there isn't much about him which is very sad.
The only thing in his personality thing on the wiki is his quote about whether "depending on the owners", they're simply borrowing or liberating all their stolen goods. From what I've seen though, he can be very aggressive (when you're not a raider anyway) such as when he throws the empty bottle on the ground where you are if you are successful in the first Raider Trial choice. He loves his BF knuckles + GF Minna (not explicitly said, but they are implied to be together), likes violence like all raiders do, and can be caring and lovely if you know him well.
I like to think out of the Knuckle-buck/Garrote-Carrot duo, he's the more chill one. He has these soft eyes that make me think "he is chillaxing unless agitated", so let's do that- let's make him calm. Not Boots level, but calm enough that there is a distinct difference between the two, and I also think that if he were a little annoying with teasing & nagging like My vers of Hatchet- it'd give him something to work with!
Maybe his flaw is that he himself can get too worked up and angry easily at strangers, like a dog barking at someone new, which can cause him to not have many friends or coexisting acquaintances unless someone tries really hard (or becomes a raider like MC).
I want to add more, but I cannot... Think of anything else. I'm so sorry Garrote-Carrot 😔.
Will workshop this ofc. This is the rough draft at the moment.
*ੈ°✩‧₊˚༺.☆༻*★₊˚*ੈ☆°༻*ੈ✩‧₊˚.*ੈ✩‧₊༻*ੈ✩‧₊˚•
Inspired by this post I also just want to explain my version of WTD. I love WTD at the moment, my mc Luci & everyone in the story keep me coming back (plus my fav chapters specifically (the ones that involve the colonies + raider trial fight)).
WTD, what's changed:
In my version of WTD, people are aware of the different versions of zombies. They'd be more or less like rare sightings, like a cryptid almost, as the queen wouldn't release many to the real world until the solstice as an extra "gotcha bitch" upon humans. People are aware of scouts indefinitely, as them bitches loud asf like Chappell Roan was at the end of "Casual" and would seem like they'd be allowed to roam the real world, maybe a decade after the first solstice. I think soldiers and Sirens would be more rare to find as they'd stay close to the Hive, and only wander a little out of Reno as they don't need to absolutely stray away from the hive.
Reading this gave me some insight into the Z25 ("zombie 2024") parasite. I won't change the zombie parasite that much, as I like it and think it's cool, however I truly believe that there can be a trial run for curing and aiding zombie bites via vaccine creation. Vaccines, defined as "a substance used to stimulate immunity to a particular infectious disease or pathogen, typically prepared from an inactivated or weakened form of the causative agent or from its constituents or products." . Because parasites are reliant on a host, and some (such as protozoan, the case for this zombie outbreak) can't live for long, apparently the longest being 30 days, I would assume Shannon and her fellow colleagues in the Laboratory Outpost would have tried to make a vaccine or something like by storing dead parasites (whether the parasites are from saliva, skin, blood, etc) in jars and using it on freshly turned people (wouldn't work as the vaccine would get overshadowed by the living parasites that are doubling like crazy). They would've tried to use these trial vaccines on volunteers, however I like to believe that the Lab got overrun by the zombies inside and Shannon wasn't able to do that as she got locked up and stuff.
I hate the "only turn by bite" shit in zombies. It makes sense, zombie biting + breaking skin and getting saliva in victims bloodstream = turn. However, if the Zombie parasite exists in every single part of the body (blood, saliva, body parts, etc) then shouldn't there be more ways of turning? Like that one post that said of the plot holes that existed in WTD about zombification, it mentioned about how in TWD that if "brain is still intact and active while dead from nothing zombie-related, you turn" and it made me think of how easy turning could be in this world.
With parasites existing in every inch of a zombie, making physical contact with a zombie should be deadly in survivors eyes. Scratches and stuff should be taken far more seriously, as think of the grime under these zombies long nails and the fact that it's probably covered in blood from other people and its own blood as I assume they'd be bloody all over from ripping their skin off (as that one Infected persons log book said that they wanted to tear their skin of, I assume that is zombies would want to do in the final stages of infection), it'd make getting wounds from any zombie to be deadly. So let's have that happen. A simple scratch can prove fatal as parasites from the zombie could have landed on the skin and into the small wound. As someone once mentioned too, blood-drinking bugs (such as mosquitos) could prove very dangerous as one of the types of getting infected is zombie matter in a bloody wound, and mosquitos may take blood from zombies that is full of parasites and guess what? If a mosquito has touched a zombie and then you, cross contamination of zombie parasite residue on their sucker into your body, then it definitely can happen I think.
I think that stopping infection can be possible, but only in the first two hours of getting hurt. How? Cleaning your wounds. If you get scratched, bitten (not hard enough to break skin in this case), or even covered in zombie blood/saliva- you need to clean it off IMMEDIATELY. Clean the parasites and shit off your skin, out of wounds, in any good enough water source, and in the next two hours if you show signs of sickness then you're either killed or being put on careful watch (if you're apart of a group that doesn't believe in Rule no.3). This would make layering up on clothes, on protection, and staying clean essential in this world.
I will also add a picture of a diagram about the 6 links of infection too, as extra clarification on Z25 infection, and how it can spread in my world (as PB doesn't expand on any other links to infection) ↓
I also think Sunflower Creek would definitely be a pacifist colony that survives, however, they'd definitely have to take defensive measures. Knowing that this world is violent, they'd have to push away their personal feelings to install defenses like bear traps, tripwires, spikes that go outward, barbed wire, etc... where would they get it? I like to think the Sunflower Creek home used to be owned by people who hunted and wanted to be alone so they'd make their home dangerous to anyone and anything that walked too close (when Sunflower Creek was established, all defensive and offensive traps were stored deep in a shed. And then taken out after the zombie apocalypse seemed absolute.) they wouldnt actively harm zombies still and need Raiders help as zombies still wander through their fields and make it hard for harvesting and etc, but they would at least have SOMETHING against zombies whilst living a mostly-passive lifestyle.
I really like WTD, my fav book ATM and I'm obsessed, if just needs better. It DESERVES better. Trust me.
This is all a rough draft, a rough planning on WTD and my HCs and little fixes and etc, got inspo from posts that discuss WTD and also a lot about TLOU video essays as it made me go "hm..." And then boom, this post exists.
That's all for today, and if you want to add your 50c PLEASE do because collaboration on fixing media is the best way to fix media.
The raiders exactly 1 NANOSECOND after MC passes the trial:
In reality Sledge wouldn't do ts. But imagine she did it because they asked her really really nicely and she went "whatever gets you to stop nagging me."

WTD height headcanons. These are based on what I feel in my SOUL for these characters.
No thoughts, just Luci sending the polycule to all hangout with eachother at the pub and everyone goes insane and mentally ill and start doing crazy shit.
Knuckles daring Eli to take his shirts off and thirsting over his abs, Angel telling Sledge that her boobs look good and wanting to stuff her face in them, Garrote and Troy making out in the corner, Hatchet and Minna playing pool together but they end up just sword fighting with the pool sticks on top of the table, Shannon in the corner watching everyone as she drinks and ends up clinging to Sledge the entire time...
Angel would also, drunk, slap one of the boys' asses and say "you lost babygirl" with a fake deep voice and laugh maniacally afterword.
And then someone suggests "spin the bottle" and everyone kisses everyone.
Just everyone being a menace to eachother is just so fucking funni.
And then Luci comes to check on them, sees the chaos, and quietly heads out.
