Every bit of our Journey has a Purpose (#wtsdevo everydayliving)
I love my new job. It is something that I've always wanted to do and I finally feel like I am at the right place.... career wise. But I am not going to lie. The back of my head feels heavy sometimes and I feel frustrated. And on more than one occasion I've had to ask myself - Is there a reason for doing what I am doing? Why is it that I am doing what I do? Am I truly following the path that God had paved for me, or have I taken a wrong turn?
This kind of thinking starts building up when we don't take the time to ask these questions from ourselves and find out what God's place is in all of this. And in the frustration and workload, I totally failed to keep God in check with what I was going through. And so I actually took the time to pray just so that I can actually understand and find answers from God Himself.
What I have come to learn is that God has the perfect design for us. But what I also learnt was that even though God has the perfect design for us, we really don't understand it to its true and full extent. In all of this, we are called to actually realize and know that God plays an active role in our lives and that every moment and season of our journey takes place to fulfil that perfect plan that God has blessed us with. When we actually take this to our hearts and minds, we can live each day knowing that no matter what we are going through and no matter the extent to which we understand any of this, God has everything in control and we are in perfectly good hands.
Nothing that happens in our pursuit to Christ is a mistake. Every bit of it has a purpose and ultimately it all points towards the name of Jesus.
