Storm Update

OUT OF THE HOSPITAL. So....Hurricane Michael is literally going right over me in a couple of hours. I might be without power the next little while but no idea for how long. I also have work in the early hours RIGHT WHEN IT IS GOING OVER US. BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE STUPID. Whoever comes in to shop for fucking bread or something during a hurricane/tropical storm sucks. Don’t be that person. I am sure we will not have anywhere near enough customers in order to pay for staying open tomorrow. Meanwhile, places farther away are already declared closed for all day tomorrow according to the most recent closed PDF.

So I guess it takes me snapping at work to get anywhere.  I asked for a specific tool so I could do the job they asked me to do this week.  Guess, what, I still don’t have it.  So when someone asked why I was taking so long and doing it the hard way, I lost it.  Screaming swearing, and then a high pitched, wordless screech.  Half the warehouse heard me.  Big boss found out and how many fucks do I give?  Not a one.  You assholes do your jobs so the rest of us can do ours!

I love companies that say "We're like family here"

Cool so by family you mean the one relative that nobody likes that everyone thinks is trouble, who everyone is constantly on their case about and genuine issues are treated like no big deal?

( this is about where I work extending our hours and gaslighting us to believe this lame excuse and when I was polite in saying I don't work that late (due to ride issues and the person giving me said rides is in poor health) and being met with the most annoyed face I can imagine basically making it like I'm asking too much to be done an hour earliee than what we close at now)

The Shelf

We have shelves in our bathrooms at the office above the sinks. Crazy it sounds, those shelves are a great analogy for what is wrong at the company I work for.

Making waves

My sister reported something at work. Now all of a sudden she's being harassed by her boss and written up. It screams retaliation. So I'm going to see the big boss today. And if I don't like his answer, I'm going to corporate. It needs to stop. They need to stop this shit.
