That’s actually canon too SNDK. In the fanbook, Jae-ha criticizes Hak’s cooking abilities and Hak replies with “Shin-ah eats my cooking.” to which Jae-ha says “That’s because he’ll eat anything seemingly edible!”

hands down, I LOVE KJ’s portrayal of Shin-ah. She is so fun to write with and I really enjoy reading her headcanons. I enjoy interacting with her in general and just seeing her on my dash! I can’t wait to get to my drafts so I can actually reply to things. I love how direct kj is, not to mention, I think she’s very genuine and reliable— it’s something I really look up to tbh. her sense of humour ( or mb just cussing?? ) is also very interesting and mildly disturbing, but I love that for her.

Recently it’d been mentioned in the fanbook Hak’s parents died in the Xing war when Hak was 2 yr old. So I’m actually really curious if they happened to be soldiers or if they were just ordinary people who got involved? And in either case, were they from Kouka or from Xing, or somewhere in-between? I actually have no idea and I kind of like the vagueness regarding the whole thing. I usually assume they were people who just got involved in the whole ordeal, be they were from Kouka or Xing, and Mun-doek happened to find 2 yr old Hak and couldn’t just leave him behind. I don’t think Hak has any recollection of the events, or really any interest in it either.
