You might think there is not a truly astounding amount of Facebook groups dedicated to fighting about leviathan sized lobster god but there is. The 2020 Mi'kmaq lobster dispute in Canada managed to distract from debates on if Zoidberg would be a better lobster god briefly making indigenous fishing rights an international issue for shitposters on fb. It soon returned to watching spin off groups like "plans to cultivate a heinous amount of garlic and butter for... LobsterGod" "plans to worship the cauldron that cooks the lobster god" "I want lobster god in my tummy space" and "Raptor jesus for the protection of lobster god".
As of 3/4/24 the original group "plans to create and worship our leviathan lobster god" remains vaguely active with posts including reshares of ancient Peruvian pottery shaped like lobsters to a man on a boat with a crab clinging to his nipples. I did not see any new posts about getting lobster tattoos which was popular was in 2020.
The website dedicated to selling leviathan lobster god merch also remains active.
