Today.
- had to take Teddy to the emergency vet clinic today. He’s been sniffling with a lot of nasal discharge for the last two weeks now with no improvement. Luckily aside from the sniffling with subsequent eating of his own boogers (so gross), no coughing and he’s playing and eating like normal. But today he started mouth breathing so off to the clinic we go since his regular vet had no appointments available.
- confirmed upper respiratory infection with mild asthma, my poor baby. He got a chest xray and a shot of IV antibiotics with a two week effect which honestly was a great idea instead of us chasing him around for a week trying to feed him antibiotics twice a day. Just glad the vet and the staff were so kind and handled Teddy carefully. It was pretty funny when they picked him up from his carrier and discovered he was a big baby. A 17lb baby. Big kitty, tiny meow.
- we’re all home now and after a stressful afternoon I’m just glad he’s tolerating the effects of the antibiotic better. Now he’s just cuddling with me as usual, my little reading buddy. I felt so bad, he really cried on the way there :( also I am glad that Tori is totally fine and has had no symptoms, she’s just kinda doing her own thing ya know. Our little elderly roommate kitty whom we love.
- in other news, the 2 week countdown to Greece begins now. I have obviously looked up book shops I’d like to visit in each island because, hello it’s me. Now Peter and I just have to work on our packing since we’re there for nearly 2 weeks.
- I’m still working on my summer horror / thriller reading list and at some point before August ends I plan on making a separate post talking about each book I’ve read so far. I’m really enjoying my horror book binge lately! Aside from a book I’m bringing on vacation (Sharkheart by Emily Habeck) I think I’m going to continue more horror reads for the fall (Halloween!)
