Hi when will you be updating again?

Hi! Rk I’m going through some important stuff regarding my studies, so until this is over I won’t update, so probably just in December. Alongside with that I’ve been emotionally drained because of some things that happened in my personal life, specially regarding my family, and as my own life and personal experiences as a huge part of the inspiration for WTHB (mostly as allegories, ofc, I was never stuck 17 years in an island, was turned into a snake or contaminated by a magical disease), I’m having a hard time writing it rk. It’s funny bcs I started to cope with those same things, but chapters 10 (last posted) and 11 (the second part that was actually part of chapter 10 but I cut it in half bcs I didn’t want a 25k+ words chapter) are personally hard to me.

I hope to return soon. In the meanwhile I’m still creating art on TikTok, bcs, yk, if I just focus on chemistry or physics 24/7 I’ll literally explode 😮‍💨

But I’ll be back as soon as I can!

For WTHB, I just realized that Percy not only raised three children alone (Gaea was there ig, but i doubt she helped....like at all), but raised them FROM BIRTH. I now just have an image in my head of a 17-18 year old Percy, desperately trying to get her three babies to stop crying, incredibly tired and in need of a bath and more than five minutes of sleep.

Like, we know that she was going through it, but I can't even imagine the first...idk, 2ish years?

Yeah… I mean, I’m a babysitter, so ik that even the calmest kid can be challenging sometimes. Like, kids will hit you at a certain age because they’re feeling SO much they can’t process it. The first years of raising the boys were extremely tiring on her, specially bcs, yeah, Gaea wasn’t of much help (Percy, as an narrator, gives Gaea much more credit than Gaea deserves).

Reading chapter 10 and realizing again that Percy went through like a ton of traumatic experiences she suppressed then hit 16 and then spent the next decade isolated with babies to take care of alone and wow she is probably going to be one of the least well adjusted characters. She’s never gonna get the therapy she needs

I could speak hours about this 😭😭😭 she didn’t have time to process everything that went down with her bcs next thing she knew she was pregnant, and then Gaea was there using all her pre-existing fears to manipulate Percy into complete isolation!!!!!! 😭😭😭

Im, well, I haven’t named Penelope mother directly in WTHB… but I assure you it’s the most obvious answer that comes to your mind… but I won’t agree nor deny with it bcs, idk, she’ll show up eventually so… 😆
