But for context is this drawing, Emily (the main character) is a hired mercenary. Taking out people in power, slaying beasts that have plauged the lands of Eldora for centuries and various other tasks.

Hey all! This is a cool drawing I'm proud of that I did for the main antagonist of "Where the Roses Wilt" Irae! This would be when she's pissed off or whenever she wants to intimidate someone because she can contrort and distort her limbs to her whim.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE horror and horror themes so Where the Roses Wilt will have alot of horror! The genre for Where the Roses Wilt is Fantasy- adventure- drama- horror.

ANOTHER key character in "Where the Roses Wilt" who ALSO moves the plot forward heavily..
this is Misericordia!!!! She's another god like entity in the story. She used to be irae's student and was learning the ways of dark magic...but she was different she had a kind of magic none of the other gods could even think of. she harboured the purest magic in all of existence. She could also see into the parts of the future but she was not powerful enough to know her fate....
She was cast out of Irae's realm as punishment for her ideas of a peaceful earth and for speaking up against the other gods cruel treatment of humans, she also had her beautiful wings torn off her as punishment and her eyes were ripped out by Irae... and now the eyes on her staff and necklace is the only way she can see. She now resides in a cave hidden away..it's protected by mermaids (created by irae via a deal with the Sea element) to ensure no one could find her...
Misericordia means "mercy" in Latin as she's supposed to represent purity and pure magic and acts as an opposite to Irae (who represents evil and dark magic). She represents Yang in the story, which represents warmth and the sun. So hence Irae and Misericordia are Yin and Yang.
She's known to very few mortals as a prophet of sorts, though only being mentioned in whispers and very ancient scriptures. Eventually Emily (the main character) will seek her out to find out the truth and how to stop the incoming apocalypse and what the future holds for the world and her...

This is art for a concept I have for "Where the Roses Wilt" in regards to Emily (the main character). In wtrw Emily's soul is split in two, a half in half. One part of her soul is Pure Magic (Misericordia's magic) and another part of her soul is Dark Magic (Iraes Magic). This is a relatively new concept so I haven't fleshed it out entirely but let's just say this plays a big factor in how the ending turns out...
This would be her Pure light side (Pure Magic, misericordias Magic etc)

I love the horror aspect in my novel, like I love horror as a overall genre. Theres alot of moments of horror in Wtrw, I think my favourite is kinda horror in my novel is the absolute mental deterioration of Violet. After a childhood filled by her own self loathing and lack of paternal affection, ontop of losing the person who saw the good in her and who loved her truly- Violet just loses herself in her own mind.
Her mind swirls day and night with the guilt of causing death everywhere she goes, she thinks of herself as a curse upon her loved ones- a rotting infection that cant leave. This with Iraes "blessing" of Theurgy (Divine magic) having drastic effects on Violet as Iraes Theurgy can make a person's being and soul Rot.
Irae herself controls whether or not her Theurgy can cause humans to deteriorated...its all apart of a show for her own amusement. Near the end of the novel, Violets body is literally moulding because of Irae and herself getting lost in her own grief. Ive already have drawn how violet would look like at the end but I wanna redesign it again.
My design for a VERY IMPORTANT CHARACTER for my story "Where the Roses Wilt". She is a key character and plays an influential role in the story and moves the plot forward.
HERES MY GAL!!! MY EVIL SHAYLA!!!
This is Irae, the main antagonist of my story "where the roses wilt". She's the one true God, Ruler of everything in existence. She is a ruthless, unpredictable, and sadistic god. she takes immense amusement in human suffering. She's known not by many, but she knows everyone....
Her name means "Wrath" in Latin, to show her sadistic and cruel nature. She represents Evil and Dark magic in the world of wtrw. She's also meant to represent Yin, as Yin symbolises shadows and darkness along with the moon and Dark energy. (Dw there is a yang to balance all this out, you'll see in the next post hehe.)
Her main thing she's known for by humans is making deals, she makes deals with humans when they seek her out, but that's not always the wisest idea...her deals have a terrible price. She has her own book that she wrote that she left in the hands of her faithful followers where there's legends and scripts of the other mysterious gods and entities throughout the worlds she created...
Her favourite human to toy with is Emily (main character) as seen throughout the story as she feeds her and the rest of the gang lies and causes challenges that will end in a deadly decision for them...
but yeah I worked rlly hard on her design HUZZAHHH so expect more art and other stuff relating to her, she's lowkey my favourite character in wtrw so I can't wait to develop her more!
