We're Up All Night - Jake&Katie

It had been three days since Jake last saw Katie, which wasn't really that long. They were both bored, which was a perfect window for Jake to scoot over to Katie's. However since he moved into Becky's home he had no idea how far things were. Quickly before leaving Jake plugged her address into Google Maps, and saw it was only a 10 minute walk. He still hadn't bought another truck, so his two feet and the public transit system were his best bet for getting around. Quickly he wrote Becky a note and left it on the counter in case she needed him and he wasn't answering his cell. Then, grabbing his spring jacket, Jake left. It was pretty cold for a June evening, which made the walk less than enjoyable. He wasn't looking forward to going back especially when it cooled down even more. Secretly in the back of his mind, Jake hoped he wouldn't be coming home, but he knew Katie wouldn't sleep with him until pigs flew. He listened to the music on his phone all the way to her home. When he reached the residence, he took a quick second to admire the garden that he designed himself a few weeks ago. It was beautiful, or so he thought. After pulling a tulip from the front to give to Katie, he knocked on the door hoping she or her sister would answer. Though Jake liked the Matlin family, he always felt awkward talking to parents especially late at night. Patiently he stood in the door way, wondering how Katie would look when she opened the door. He knew no matter what she'd be beautiful.
