a/n : lowkey this is just what I think would be rin's favorite date with his girlfriend and how his relationship would be like LMAO. not proofread and it's just fluff, hope you enjoy!
it was a typical dull winter day whilst you were on school break. the icy cold weather kept you locked inside your house, forcing you to spend countless hours on your phone as you blasted your heater. most of your friends were busy off spending time with their families in or out of the country and your boyfriend had been training at some facility called 'blue lock' for a while, leaving you with absolutely no one to socialize with! you didn't mind having a moment of rest, playing fun gacha games for hours on end but by the fourth day they were becoming a bit too reptitive. the amount of monotony in your life was stripping away your sanity as the days had gone by. so, imagine your glee in the afternoon when you recieved a text message from your boyfriend, rin itoshi, informing you that he'd be returning his town for a short amount of time. your fingers quickly exited out of the gacha game you were playing and onto your shared chat. He'd suggested coming over to his place at five o-clock for a horror movie marathon if you weren't busy. You turned to look at the container of cheesy balls, a pack of biscuits, and mangas that laid besides you on your bed and back at the chat. You definetly weren't busy. Instantaneously you accepted his request, squealing with joy behind your phone.
Ding, dong. You stood outside at the front door to Rin's house, your hands shivering in the pockets of your black puffer jacket as a white plastic bag from the convience store hanged from your wrist. Prior to your arrival you had decided to suprise your boyfriend with one of his favorite things in the world, sweets! In the limited times you've texted Rin during his program he'd mentioned that the meals there were very organized with the intention priortize a players health, ergo no sweets. One month without sweets? A quick run to the conveince store was most imperative! A few seconds had passed after you'd rang his doorbell but you were still met with silence. "Rin rin," You sang at his front door as you repeatedly knocked,"It's me! Your girlfriend who's turning into a popsicle by each second you don't come to door…"
All of the sudden the door opened, and you were greeted with a familiar dull turquoise eye'd boy.
"Can you knock any louder?" Rin rhetorically asked. The corners of your mouth pulled upwards at the long waited sight of your broody boyfriend.
"I was standing outside for pratically two hours." You chuckled, pushing past him.
"It was only two minutes."
"To you! You try standing out in this frigid weather for two minutes."
As he closed the door you could've sworn he muttered 'you're so dramatic' under his breath which earned him a dagger of piercing eyes.
"Your being so rude, especially after I went through all this trouble to bring you this!" In a exaggerated fashion you opened the plastic bag in your hand to revealing a bounty of sweets to Rin. His eyes widened at the sight of pocky, cheesecake pudding, and much more delectable delights.
"[Reader], you didn't have to do that." He flatly responded.
"Of course I did. You're my boyfriend who I already don't see very often, I want to spoil you whenever I have a chance to!" You hummed.
The light in Rin's eyes shone brighter at your words. He slightly turned his head away from you in hopes of hiding the small pink tint forming at his cheeks. "Besides, it's not a movie night without sna—" You stopped.
Your eyes locked onto your boyfriends attire.
He was wearing a grey stringed hoodie with pochacco printed pajama pants, how cute! Rin turned his head back towards you at your sudden interuption. Your lips were upwardly sucked-in and your eyes formed a crescent.
"What?" He asked. He traced your glistening eyes to his pajamas pants. "You're such a drag." He stated before walking back to his bedroom his ears slightly reddened.
"Did you buy it for yourself or was it your mom who bought it for you?" You teased, "They are so cute!"
"Shut up."
After settling into Rin's room, you both decided you wanted to watch the four main Conjuring movies. Many reviews online insisted that the movie had amazing graphics, camera work, and best of all tons of soul crushing jumpscares. How could you both resist? In order to set the mood properly Rin had turned off all the lights, leaving only the television illuminating light, making sure that each jumpscare would hit perfectly. You both were laid up on Rin's bed with the bag of snacks on his lap as for "conveinence" to prevent them from being smooshed and easy to access. Twenty minutes into the movie you started to feel a cold breeze caressing you from the air seeping from his humungous window. You slipped your legs underneath his covers in attempt of finding some warmth to battle it but to no avail. Now you were shivering more frequently and uncontrollably as the harsh winds seeped more into the room. With each passing second you found yourself slipping further into his bed. Suddenly Rin paused the movie and his eyes darted away from the television onto you.
"What are you doing?" He paused the movie to questioned you with his eyebrows furrowed.
"W-what do you mean?" You clattered.
"Every second I turn to you you're more submersed into the comforter. Are you cold?" Your eyes drifted aways from his in embarassment?
"No I'm not..!" You quickly lied, fixing your posture. Hastily closing your mouth so he wouldn't hear your teeth shake against each other.
"I can hear your teeth clattering, your obviously cold." He answered, rolling his eyes. You froze for a second. Suddenly, in one swift motion Rin put his arm around your body, under your arm and onto on your waist. He scooched you closer towards him leaving your bodies pressing against each other. Your heart skipped a beat. Your head was settled against his chest and his arm nested at your waist. Heat brimmed from your body at your close proximity. Rin wasn't the type to like PDA or any physical contact for that matter. It took you months for the two of you the hold hands, so, why the change? Your chest heaved in a frail attempt to calm your nerves while he adjusted the comforter around you with his free arm.
"Are you still cold?" Rin inquired. You slightly tilted your head up meet his gaze, his dark green hair was a bit fallen over his left eye. With your right hand you pushed the strands of hair away from his eye, his hair was soft and had a oceany fragrance. The same one he carried throughout your regular highschool days. Oh how you missed it. His eyes traced your hand as it slowly traveled down his face to cup his jaw. Rin's face felt warm, he felt warm, a stark contrast between his usual demeanor. A light smile crept on your face as his warmness circulated around you.
"No, not at all." You answered, releasing your hand from his face. Mid air, Rin covers his free hand with yours guiding it to his heart. You opened your mouth to tease him about his sudden affectionate demeanor but, knowing Rin he'd probably stop if you teased him too much. Instead, you allowed him to take the remote to resume the movie and stayed in his embrace for the remainder of movies. Whether it was the cold air or Rin's thumb that had been absentmindly circling the skin of you waist you found yourself being lulled to sleep. Rin looked at you after a quiet snore escaped your lips, you were knocked out. How could a girl who spent her break doing absolutely nothing be so tired, he wondered. Ever since he's arrived home he hasn't slept either and the first selection was an annoying event, maybe it wouldn't be so bad to join you. He turned off his television and gently laid his head ontop of yours.
