So I know I'm late, but I just read about aespa and the [*RUMORS*] of how Karina got in trouble with the public for calling some SM men ugly...
All I can think of is how people were literally in hysterics over a teenage girl MAYBE calling 24-30 year old men ugly, as if men of all ages don't comment and prey on young girls' looks all the time. Not to mention, Karina was said to be talking to a "friend" in private. These men make their creepy comments to girls' faces and get mad when these MINORS don't respond positively. I wouldn't put it past any male idol to be absolute scum of the Earth after Burning Sun. And you can say I'm generalizing all you want, but as a woman myself, I generalize men in order to keep myself safe from violence.
Is it rude to call someone ugly? Yeah, it is. But I guess it took a 17yo girl flipping the script for people to actually care, huh?
