Miami GP 2026

1 hour and 20 minutes before lights out

The heat was real when you saw it with your own eyes. A fine specimen indeed. As you scroll through Instagram and seeing someone with a verified unfamiliar account 'pablogavi' seeing that account you clicked on it and started scrolling. You haven't realized its been 30 minutes of doom scrolling making you drown out the noises and the ongoing panic and sheer confusion outside of your room that was being drowned by the an edit of a Barca player named Pablo Gavi.

50 minutes before lights out

The sound of shuffling hurried feet's and people bumping to each other of things was drowned down by your headphones resulting.

"WHERE IS SHE?!"

"SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE HERE 30 MINUTES AGO"

"HAS ANYONE CHECK THE HOSPITALITY?!"

'HER ROOM! CHECK HER ROOM HURRY"

The suddenly the violent rattling of the doorknob broke your trance immidetely discarding the phone and running quickly to the door opening it.

"THE NATIONAL ANTHEM IS GOING UP IN 5 MINUTES WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING" One of the staff said panting and heaving.

"I AM SO SORRY, LET ME GET MY SUIT I'LL BE ON MY WAY OUT" You quickly closed the door and changed as fast as you can with only half of your suit zipped you grab your cap and ran out of the drivers room as fast as you can.

Spotting other drivers lining up on what was gonna be the beginning of the national anthem you quickly squeezed next to Carlos and took off your cap, He looked at you an amused and gave you a raised eyebrow before focusing on the anthem.

After the national anthem, other drivers quickly scattered around for the interview before race. You were about to leave but was stopped after hearing someone called you name, you turned around saw its Nico Rosberg and Jenson Button calling for you trying to get an interview out of you.

You walked towards them and got under the umbrella to be shield away from the heat, once you settled in you placed your cap back to your head making sure the sponsored watch was seen all throughout the process, you gave a green go to start the interview after flashing a smile on the camera and accepting a microphone with a small 'thank you'.

"So Y/N everyone saw that you were running late for the anthem, everyone knows how conscious you are with your time and schedule, what happened?" Nico asked with amusement, " I uhhh lost track of time, doom scrolling on tiktok" you sheepishly answered "and what type of video are you watching, surely not brain rotted video" Jenson quips, feeling offend you quickly tried to defend yourself.

"More like whose edit I am watching" You jokingly said, and suddenly you caught a figure in your peripheral vision, your PR manager Stella was looking at you warningly, the messaged confused you but sooner you realized what you said was absolutely bullshit and true you quickly tried to back track "I mean doesn't everyone watch edits? anyways I think my engineer is calling me"

Nico looked at you confused and more eager to ask more question and he was about to open his mouth but you quickly pointed at someone in a bright red undeniably Ferrari jumpsuit "Hey isn't that Lewis?" Nico turned around with Jenson, with that you instantly ran through the garage successfully escaping the 'PrincessCake' Duo that got distracted.

20 minutes before lights out

"Radio check Radio check do you copy?"

"I hear you J" You answered back while trying to adjust in your seat in the car and readying your gloves, balaclava, and lastly the helmet.

"Copy, tires and cars look good just sit back"

Feeling bored in the car your hands started to feel antsy, you signaled one of the staff to hand you your phone, as you open your phone a loud blaring music came to play.

'IS YOU SAY, "DADDY'S HOME, HOME FOR M-'

You quickly turned the volume down looking very embarrassed and ashamed still looking down and watching the edit of a certain Barcelona Football player.

"Daddy's home huh?" the radio buzzed.

"Shut up"

I am announcing that Dino Beganovic, an F2 Prema racing driver will be replacing me for temporary for 3 GP's (this year is not our year) as the team doctor advise me to stay clear and out of the track due to minor injuries that was caused by the incident. I wish the team well and for Dino to enjoy the experience of driving the car! 💖🖤

You have never been so frustrated about an incident until it cost you a world driver champion standing, sure you weren't even in the top 5 but settling in p6 in the standing is phenomenal especially when you are a woman competing in male dominated field but that has never stopped others. The season was well and the team has shown signs of improvement but then suddenly it all came crashing down by almost being toasted alive by the car.

Looking outside of the window you thought 'shit' like what are you gonna do this 2 month of unemployment, surely not paddelling with other drivers that will even worsen your injuries. Picking up your phone you scrolled through Instagram to see a post of Barcelona VS Real Madrid match was going to happen in 2 week, enough time for you to get discharged and be able to stand up with out support, you like the post and exited the app to chat with Carlos who was definitely be watching the game.

You groaned and asked your manager to book you everything, you placed down your phone and looked at up the ceiling feeling the loneliness and silence as it slowly lull's you to sleep.
