no wait, I do. I know there's this tendency to view Man Weol and Chan Seong’s relationship as lacking sparks /chemistry etc but like the way I see it, it was never about the chemistry begin with. Its the finding a safe place in each other that made it so good. For me at least. I like how the balanced each other out and in a way, soothed the other’s wounds and insecurities.

Ship That I’m Indifferent To  😑 :

- Ye Jin x Joon Mo (The Producers). Honest to god I saw nothing between them. ZERO. Like Jang Hyuk had a three min cameo and it felt like even he had more chemistry with Gong Hyo Jin than Cha Tae Hyun did. 

- The leads from Love In The Moonlight. I know this is a fairly beloved drama and I slogged thru 8 eps before giving up cos it felt like everyone other than the mains seemed to have more personality flavour. They really felt like the equivalent of a dry biscuit to me. Sure, I’ll eat it. Will I enjoy it? No, cos its dry and flavourless.

oooh, this would definitely be Xue Yang / Xiao Xingchen. Im not in the fandom but my understanding is that one is a good fellow and the other is a psychopath and pretty much destroyed the former’s life but I also happened to stumble on some excellent fic for the them and the quality of angst and self-loathing and general fuckery was beyond delicious. Ive seen a few clips of them but havent explored more cos I dont want my fanon idea of them to be debunked.

One of them would be def Ji Won x Hyun Soo. I know they were polarizing for a lot of peeps and I understand why as well, at the same time, I feel like they really complemented each other cos u know they are the kind of people who have zero interest in anything outside one person and they were willing to go to ridiculous lengths. Does this have shades of unhealthy? Definitely. But when they were together, they were better and stronger together than when they were separate.

- Dong Ha x Ji Yeon (Witch’s Romance)

- Dong Gu x Yoon Ah, Du Shik x Soo Ah, bb Sol x Happiness (Laughter in Waikiki) but also the 6 of them being friends thats my OTP as well. Or OT6 +bb.

- Ship that you’re indifferent to 😑 - I liked Shim Cheong and Dam Ryeong (The Legend of The Blue Sea) when they were all historical and mermaid-y. I couldn't care less about them in the modern era tho. I mean, they were cute but like oats also is nice when you are hungry no?

- The second pair from HDL, the ghost bellboy and the schoolgirl intern. Once again, individually, okay only but together, the human equivalent of a yawn.

In terms of actual canon ships, I really like:

Ok Da Jung and Nam Jung Gi from Ms Temper and Nam Jung Gi - They had a very nice mutual respect thing going on and Jung Gi really grew a spine after coming into contact with Da Jung and doing some much needed growing up and idk, standing up for himself. This is not a drama I see recommended often, or even mentioned at all but I do really like it and like them. Also Woo Joo x Da Jung’s admiration and approval tbh. They were so fucking cute.

Ship that pisses you off: 💣 - 

- Cracks knuckles. It would def have to be Man Weol x Chung Myeong. The rage it makes me feel. ofc I am not angry at people who ship it cos you know, it is what it is, but omg, the fact that it got so much storyline and contributed to Man Weol’s suffering and was supposed to be something I was supposed to sympathize with? NO THANK YOU. 

- Gang Tae x Mun Yeong - any affection I felt for them was cos the actors did a good job but omg the thought of them gives me hives, even more in hindsight. It’s not like ppl dont deserve love and being happy but those two deserved some serious therapy and healing before they could even the beautiful relationship the drama wanted to showcase them as.

HDL fic anon here! Your new one was such a pleasant surprise when I looked through the tag :D I loved it so much, you write/characterize them so well! Only thing I wanted more wasn’t possible since it wasn’t in chansung’s pov but I was just so curious like how/when did he fall in love her🥺 but the way he picked the flowers for her was so cute loved it! Thanks for sharing it it was nice to have new content to enjoy for them

In case ur interested: here is what was supposed to happen. So like, Chan Seong being younger and also like somewhat mild and sweet, there would be some kids bullying him and troubling him and Man Weol spots it and comes to the rescue and kicks the bums of all the mean kids. Like, its a random event for Man Weol and she doesnt even think too much of it, but for Chan Seong it's complete heart-eyes, fairy-tale falling in love kind of moment. I think they are at the ages of 11 and 15. Obviously he's still a kid at that time, so he just begins to crush.

But once he starts paying attention to Man Weol, the crush becomes full blown emotion and even tho he's too shy to do something about his feelings, by the time he turns 18, he decides to be a little more active and courageous and that's how the story moves to the present! Hope that answered your question.
