Because I've seen a lot of people going "who?" lol and I enjoy the Huaxu affiliation characters.

To begin, Xiangli Yao serves as the academic leader of Huaxu Academy. He is an expert in Automata Mechanics.

Mortefi considers him his rival, he wants to outdo him. Those at the academy considers Mortefi #2 to Xiangli Yao. The two "met" years ago at a New Federation's (Mortefi's birth country) World Expo.

Taoqi (top) and Baizhi (bottom) lines about him, supports his profile description: "He is a gentle yet rational soul."

Yao is the person you hear Mortefi calling in the beginning of the story in the Academy, and we enter his room.

That unusual device is definitely for his arm. You can see similar structures in the abandoned Court of Savantae site at Whining Aix Mire. Maybe it means something since the researchers at CSC really needed Automata Mechanics at some point? I hope it does... Explaining Resonators Part 1 - Overview

This is my first time using Tumblr, please bare with my posting habits lol. I decided to make one of my Twitter threads into a format suitable for Tumblr, Instagram and Tiktok.

This is a rework of my Twitter thread explanations from a few months ago, pages I created for Fandom Wikia (I'm bureaucrat as of April 21 thanks to the inactive owners yippee), and a somewhat recent post I made for the r/wutheringwaves and r/wuwa_lore (please join it and the WuWa lore Discord linked to it!) If this reaches non mutuals: I am a long time Kuro Game fan! PGR since launch and WuWa since it was initially leaked and unannounced in 2022. I am a part of two lore teams for the game and make guides for it in my free time, mostly on Twitter @ mortefii. For those that already know me I'm putting it here too just to store it so smd.

The Lament changed the laws of Solaris-3, and unique frequencies are now attached to various things. The Lament's power causes destructive anomalies, such as the Tacet Fields, Tacet Discord Outbreaks, and the mysterious matter named Tacetite. These are collectively known as the Waveworn Phenomenon. The Waveworn Phenomena is believed to have altered matter, information, and energy by converting them into vibrating frequencies.

Individuals with the ability to resonate with things in existence and manipulate their frequencies are known as Resonators. These individuals exhibit a Resonance Ability through a symbol, known as the Tacet Mark, on their bodies.

They have unique Resonance Spectrum Patterns that determine their abilities and relates to their Attributes.They are classified by their Rabelle's Curve into one of the following: Natural, Mutant, Congenital, or *Artificial.

According to experts on Solaris-3, a Resonator's abilities are often influenced by their past experiences and subconscious mind.

Every Resonator has a Forte Examination Report that evaluates their status as a Resonator. It consists of two parts: a Resonance Evaluation Report, and an Overclock Diagnostic Report. 

They WERE available on Kuro's website as Profile Reveals and Inspection Reports used to promote/introduce a character, but they can all be viewed in-game after obtaining the character if you did not archive them.

Explaining Resonators Part 3 - Rabelle's Curve and Overclocking

IB. Rabelle's Curve

Used on reports to classify Resonators into: Natural, Mutant, Congenital, or *Artificial.

Previous Artificial Resonators were Encore and Calcharo, but they are now Congenital and Natural.

Natural Resonators have a non-convergent Rabelle Curve with a gradual, stable rise.

Current Natural Resonators: Calcharo, Jianxin, Lingyang, Taoqi, Yangyang, Yuanwu

Mutant Resonators have a non-convergent Rabelle Curve with a steep rise in its middle section.

Current Mutant Resonators: Baizhi, Chixia, Danjin, Jiyan, Mortefi, Sanhua

I cannot say for sure, but after reading their reports it seems that extreme conditions, spike in their emotional state and energy were involved in the awakening for these Resonators (Jiyan being an exception for now). - slothlo

Congenital Resonators have a non-convergent Rabelle Curve with a periodic waveform.

Current Congenital Resonators: Aalto, Encore, Verina, Yinlin

These Resonators were born with their abilities, or awakened during their early childhood. - slothlo

To learn the specific circumstances to a Resonator's awakening you must read their reports and character menu stories. Keep in mind you might come across some that are vague and have unidentifiable triggers, or 'cause of awakening unknown' on their report.

II. OVERCLOCK DIAGNOSTIC REPORT

This portion details a Resonator's *waveform graph, *Time Domain patterns, risk of Overclocking, Resonant Criticality, stability, any past documented history of Overclocking, their behavior and emotional tendencies.

IIA. What is Overclocking?

Resonators that exceed their Resonant Criticalities experience Overclocking. They lose control of their Forte. Emotional, psychological states, and bursts of energy play a huge role in Overclocking. You can see this more clearly with Yangyang's report, attached in the beginning of this post.

Xiangli Yao + Court of Savantae (goofy speculation)

I wonder if he will be connected to the Court of Savantae in some way. It's even funnier that he uses the term truthseeker like they do a lot (could just be describing researchers in general)- and he's a genius. Speak to any of the Huaxu Academy NPCs or Mortefi, Baizhi, Taoqi, Jinhsi's profiles and they'll glaze him immediately. Court of Savantae really needed the study of Automata Mechanics at some point.

Yao is incredibly smart, and the cube like structure in his lab is also at the old CSC site.

Either way I can't wait! His arm is so cool I love anything techy, or relations to robots, cyborgs, mechs in this game.

Explaining Resonators Part 2 - Resonance Spectrum Patterns

I. RESONANCE EVALUATION REPORTS

This portion details a Resonator's Forte, provides information regarding the circumstances of their Awakenings, Tacet Mark, Resonance Spectrum Patterns, and the Rabelle's Curve used to classify them.

IA. Resonance Spectrum Patterns

Again, Resonators are defined as: Individuals with the ability to resonate with certain objects and manipulate their frequencies.

They end up having Resonance Spectrum Patterns that align with the spectrum patterns of other things in existence, synotizing (being in resonance, in tune with) with these patterns explains their Fortes.

Examples from some Forte Examination Reports:

Aalto's RSP matches the pattern of fog.

Fog -> Mist -> Air -> Aero attribute, ‘the ability to manipulate airflow’.

Yangyang’s RSP matches airflow and bird species.

Airflow and Birds → Air → Aero attribute, ‘the ability to manipulate airflow’.

Mortefi's RSP matches the pattern of the extinct Dragonkin species.

Dragons → Fire -> Fusion attribute, ‘the ability to ignite’.

Danjin's RSP matches human blood, and she uses her own.

Hence 'destroying' or 'harming' herself -> Havoc attribute, ‘the ability to annihilate’.

Sanhua's RSP matches snow and Tacet Discord (you should read her developer notes and stories for more on the blizzard caused by Waveworn Phenomenon!)

Surviving blizzard caused by Waveworn Phenomenon -> frequency erosions -> Glacio attribute, ‘the ability to cool down and freeze’.

Explaining Resonators Part 4 - Resonant Criticalities and Overclock History

Basically, the RC and stability relationship:

+RC/-stable= higher risk

-RC/+stable= lower risk

-/-= higher risk

+/+= lower risk

High Resonant criticality levels can be countered with higher stability, so low stability puts the Resonator at risk in this case.

Low Resonant criticality is an issue when one's stability is also low, but it is not an issue when stability is high.

IIC. Overclock History

As of now, only Mortefi, Sanhua, Calcharo and Yangyang have recorded history of overclocking Danjin and Yuanwu have experiences that we can call near-overclocking.

The Common Alphabet of Solaris-3

Did you know the profile reveals before Baizhi, Chixia, and Yangyang (Resonators revealed before January) included Resonator names in the Solaris-3 alphabet? Looking at the profile reveal art of Sanhua, Aalto, Danjin, Mortefi, Yuanwu, Taoqi, and even the Resonator page on the website where 'Resonator' is written in these letters, can help you decode things in trailers and in-game!
