What's news in college radio this week.
We at Radio Survivor are enormous fans and supporters of college radio, and our colleague Jennifer Waits is always on the beat. So far this week she covered two interesting stories.
First, WUTK at the University of Tennessee is living on borrowed time with its old transmitter. So it's running a $25,000 fundraiser to buy a new one, along with a needed new control board.
Second, anyone who is or will be in the Washington DC or College Park, MD area should check out an exhibit on the University of Maryland's WMUC. Gosh, wouldn't it be great if every college station would put on an exhibition like this?
Appearance of the Dog on WUTK radio. The whole thing is worth a look - the interview is pretty funny - but I'm posting this segment because on the first number Frank sounds bloody great!
