Five happy runners of the many who ran #wuu2k out there today 🥰 That weather eh. It played havoc with the plans prior. Even in the seconds before we started the stream right in front of us threw a tantrum. A plan developed on the start line to run as a crew, together, because why not make a happy adventure chat-filled day from the swirling conditions in front of us. And what 👏 a 👏 time 👏 There are no photos of the most muddy moments and trails turned streams and the times we laughed so hard we could barely stand back up. Maybe that made it more amazing. It can only be relived in conversations. THANK YOU to our dedicated wuu2k team who kept us safe out there, the friendships with these wonderful people @lindsontheroad @zenpeacekeeper , from @chris__howard_ the fearless adventurer and his first wuu2k after many volunteer years, and to Lewis who has experienced Wellington's finest today both in weather and the support of these amazing running communities around us ❤️ Award of the day goes to OH MY GOODNESS @anna_breen76 who met us at the finish line with hot chocolates, hot towels, a hot water bottle, a car to ferry us back home and a duvet in the backseat. Being handed a hot water bottle at the end was next level!! Let alone the company on the drive back to our car. Recovery time with this sweet boy feat. his love of the ball ❤️❤️❤️ Weather has meant fewer huuuuuge adventures yesterday and today. STILL, he got a full day of dog play and dog training yesterday while at wuu2k rego; and then an hour and a half of walks today in between the biggest rain drops (and excellent for recovery legs after us running #wuu2k !) Face licks, lots of snugs and scritches, general hilarity, ball being regularly delivered, that face tucked into my lap, tapping me with his paw for ball play.
