I CAN START DOING STUFF WITH THE MAIN GAME AGAIN!!!!!!!!!
never give up
Here's a demonstration of the rhythm game I've been working on while cooling off from Bunnyfold level design
[Video length: 1 minute]
Basically a 7 key (sometimes) game where you either hit normal notes or hold notes as they fly by
tonight's absolute devlog: I coded the thing wrong and I am NOT doing a hack to fix it so i'm gonna reorganize it tomorrow and make it not suck
ABSOLUTE devlog: transition from gameplay -> results is really damn good. and then i got really tired
if i really, really had to guess, i could maybe get the first chart set up by next week… that means i gotta do [B2] info bars, [C1] time length code, [C2] layers/groups, [C4] the chart itself
i could have done [B2] tonight but i was so satisfied my brain kinda turned off and like. ok that's fair i'm kinda in sleep debt anyway
[B2] will probably be really fast, [C1] could take a day, [C2] could take at least a day, and then [C4] i have no idea because i haven't really made a chart lol
yes. i have organized my to-do list so hard that they're grouped by letter and number. it feels really awesome and epic lmao. i even have them color coded the same way in my notes
song preview + playback added... i'm at the point where i really have to consider how i export my chart and how i set it up in the game. oh boyyyyyy
i could probably just throw the chart's data into a serializer and call it a day but i still have to think about how it shows up
2025 goals:
- finish doodles
- finish rhythm game
- make KEEP MOVING demo
- survive responsibilities
I've been redesigning the UI and some of the data in ABSOLUTE (the rhythm game) because making levels for Bunnyfold felt like writing an essay.
I am at least still making progress on SOMETHING.
Apologies for the Fans of Jam. I'll do my best to get back on levels. Soon.
Here's a funny in-dev image I have
