it was a good week. priscila was experiencing days where using sleeping pills mostly only did what they were designed to do. the sun was shining — she noticed that every time it occurred, of course, but in this instance it felt right. with a pizza delivery on its way, she waited in the living room for zach to visit. she'd texted him, invited him to a pizza-and-movie day. she was yet to read his reply (if he replied at all), but her mind was racing to imagine how amazing their hangout would be. it would be properly amazing; it would be as right as the sunshine. then, she realized she was getting her hopes far too high. he may not have even replied, she reminded herself. (but suppose he was visiting, he would be at her doorstep any second now.)
