WWE Roadblock - Match #7

World Wrestling Entertainment World Heavyweight Championship Match Triple H (C) vs Dean Ambrose Predicted Winner: Triple H Desired Winner: Dean Ambrose

Actual Winner:

Like I’ve said before, I have high expectations for certain wrestlers. Triple H and Dean Ambrose are two of those wrestlers. I’ve been watching Triple H since the ‘90s and as an admitted Dean Ambrose fangirl I will always believe that he has the ability to do anything and be anything in this company and this business (his other accolades as Jon Moxley don’t need to be listed at this time). These two men have high expectations to live up to and I know that they're able to blow those expectations out of the water, it’s just a matter of whether or not they will. 

Triple H looks to be taking over early, but its looking more and more like both Ambrose and Triple H are just having a little bit of fun trying to get into one another’s heads. Had to laugh though when Dean just lay across the ropes and then proceeded to grab Triple H’s nose just a CM Punk chant seemed to be grabbing some momentum. Triple H didn’t take too kindly to having his nose grab, which Ambrose responded to with a quick jab to said nose.

Ambrose takes over not leaving the champion any time to breathe at all, but Triple H takes back the control by sending Ambrose into the steel steps before planting him on the barricade after a failed attempt at a pedigree on the outside of the ring. Control is going back and forth from this point forward.

Triple H goes to start ripping the announce table apart and just as he’s about to put Ambrose on it, Ambrose throws him into the same steel chairs that Triple H threw him into. Ambrose goes for the Figure 4 and while locked in the submission both men exchange blows before it’s let go. Ambrose goes for the sharp shooter and after a couple of tried Triple H grabs the bottom rope to break the hold. 

Looks like a false three count since Ambrose’s feet were underneath the rope. Triple H goes for the roll up, but Ambrose kicks out before sending the Game out of the ring and sending him into two different barricades. Ambrose then gets to the top rope and drops the elbow on top of Triple H outside of the ring afterwards he mocks the DX crotch chop. 

Ambrose places Triple H on top of the announce table before going back in the ring to break the ref’s count. He then goes back to the announce table to drop the elbow from the barricade, but Triple H rolls out of the way and goes into the ring. Ambrose makes it before the count of 10, but Triple H wins with the Pedigree.

Overall Grade: A+
