today  was  a  practice  day  ,  and  instead  of  hitting  the  ice  ,  giovanni  had  stayed  home  binge - watching  house  hunters  international  .  that  should’ve  given  anyone  who  knew  him  some  insight  into  how  he  was  doing  right  now  .  never  in  a  billion  years  would  giovanni  narciso  miss  a  chance  to  play  hockey  ---  especially  not  on  purpose  .  that’s  why  he  was  so  glad  that  watson  had  suggested  getting  wasted  .  getting  drunk  sounded  ten  times  more  fun  than  just  sitting  around  ,  and  gio  knew  he  couldn’t  just  laze  about  forever  .  when  watson  showed  up  ,  gio  hurriedly  made  his  way  to  the  door  ,  keys  in  his  hand  ,  already  ready  to  leave  and  forget  about  everything  .  he  pointed  a  finger  at  watson  as  he  approached  his  car  ,  “  if  i  remember  anything  about  this  night  ,  you’ve  failed  me  .  ”
