What is Theistic Satanism?

Hello again, WxV here. Today we will be giving some details on what this religion actually is.

Is Spiritual/Theistic Satanism like LaVeyan/Atheistic Satanism?

No, LaVeyan/Atheistic Satanism is the worship of one’s self.

Theistic/Spiritual Satanism is the belief that Satan and Demons affiliated with him are real beings that humans can contact through the Astral Plane.

Okay, so then what does Theistic Satanism entail?

The baseline of TS is to reach spiritual godhead through meditation and usage of bio-electricity. Basically, I would like to become a divine being myself through meditation. 

Bio-Electricity? What’s that?

You know when you burn your hand, and your brain automatically sends a message to move your hand away from the fire? That message is bio-electricity. With the greater bio-electricity you have, the more powerful you are. Demons and Satan have some of the highest bio-electricity contents in the universe. That’s why if one touches you (because they can), you will feel high electricity in the room.

Woah, woah, woah. So these guys are actually real? Aren’t they scary and evil? Don’t they tell you to kill people?

Yes, In my religion demons are real. But no, they are not red, have horns, or tails. The reason they are portrayed this way is because of pop culture and “opposing” religions making others scared. (This isn’t an attack on anyone, by the way. I respect everyone’s religion.) The best way I can describe demons is that they look like pop culture’s angels. White wings and robes. 

Demons affiliated with Father Satan are very much safe to communicate with and are not evil, but all unaffiliated demons are unpredictable. Basically, It’s like talking to people in your family versus talking to strangers. That stranger could be bad, good, or neutral. That’s why when people get possessed by demons, they act unpredictably. 

Okay, okay. That’s a lot of writing. Can we wrap it up here?

Of course. All in all, this religion is about contacting helpful mentors and working your way to higher bio-electricity levels. The religion is all about Justice over all, so we don’t sacrifice, hurt, or kill people, animals, or children. We are simply seeking inner peace.

WXV1 Week 2

USA v France

Prediction: France by 22 Tl;dr: Thinking about vibes here: week 1 went quite well for US given their opponent was #1 team in the world England, while France lost by a surprisingly large margin to Canada. Expecting US to be feeling a lot of confidence and France, while they have something to prove, have shown some vulnerability and a lack of variation in attack. Players to watch: (US) Gabby Cantorna comes into 12 and moves Alev to 13, a move designed to offer a second playmaker but one that could expose them on defense without Emily Henrich's solid positioning at 13 controlling the outside channels. Alev was huge last weekend on attack so expect US to try a lot through her. (France) Alev's French opposite Konde #13 will give her a real run for her money. France's 15 Jacquet is critical to their kicking game, which will be an interesting test for Mac in the USA's double fullback set-up.

2. Canada v Ireland

Prediction: Canada by 17 Tl;dr: I think Canada is underestimating Ireland with their roster, though I still bet on them to get the win on the strength of their overall squad and how well their system suits them. Canada makes changes at #3, 5, 7, and 11; who all had strong performances last week. But Ireland have a big psychological test to get back to business after such a historic win, they're used to defending other European teams who play in very predictable patterns off 10, and they don't have the depth/interchangeability of Canada. The Ireland 9s were also driving me crazy last week with some of their decision making, or lack thereof, I think because they're primarily 7s players. Players to watch: (Canada) Gabrielle Senft was really good at #8 last week. #9 Justine "Petty" is a great fit with their style and one to watch for how we want to play. I hadn't seen the #13 play 15s before and wow, Shoshanah Seumanutafa has INSANE FOOTWORK.(Ireland) #3 Linda Djougang, #6 Erin King coming off the bench, and #7 Aoife Wafer were stand-outs last week. Shoutout to Djougang and #1 O'Dowd for both playing 80 minutes at prop last week (truly insane), though that doesn't signal good things for Ireland's depth and means they must be a bit tired. Djougang defends like a pesky lock/backrow in open play, especially keen on blowing up rucks. 3. New Zealand v England Prediction: England by 19 Tl;dr: These teams faced each other in a pre-WXV friendly and England won 24-12, though that scoreline looks a bit generous to NZ since they were never within a try. I expect a similar outcome this time or bigger. The Black Ferns' talk after the Ireland game was about taking too many quick-taps and not trusting their set piece enough; so expect them to try to game/territory manage more but I think have less success since they're competing against the best set-piece team in the world. Players to watch: (New Zealand) I don't like the changes here. Kaipo Olsen-Baker coming into #8 - a strong carrier but pretty one dimensional. Demant moves to #12 with the young Hannah King at #10, bumping Du Plesses off the roster which I think is a shame. (England) Big guns are back for England. Their preferred 9-10 combo are back after resting last week: Hunt and Aitchinson. Marlie Packer your favorite mom/loud-mouth bully is back at #7. Both locks are icons of the game. #12 Tatyana Heard is worth paying attention to as they've begun to have her do more and more playmaking on attack, whereas she used to be there to just beat defenders.

WXV Week 1 - Things we learned

Three biggest things I learned in last Sunday in the 9 hours I spent watching WXV1 on Jade's couch.

The gaps have closed across the women's game, and fans reap the benefits

Gone were the days when England's B or C sides could wipe the floor with other Tier 1 teams (outside of NZ and France). And we love to see it. US was seriously in the game against England at points, and England will be more wary in the future.

Ireland over New Zealand was certainly the big news of the day, and what's remarkable is how a few years ago Ireland was finishing at the bottom of the W6N. Shows also the magic of a bit of investment and the right change in coaching staff.

Canada is a serious "best-team-in-the-world" contender

Canada has not been afraid to do things a bit differently, and things are paying off in spades. Rather than trying to imitate England women (the undisputed best team in the world for a cycle), they've built their own dna under French coach Kevin Rouet that soundly out-Frenched the French. As someone else put it, "Canada women play more like French men than the French women". They're doing amazing things despite facing huge geographical and financial challenges - their players are not professional in the way the top European teams and New Zealand are, but they're certainly not letting that hold them back.

They have also made the interesting move in the past year or so to proudly operate under a "one squad" model between 7s and 15s when the players will train and be in camp together. You see therefore a lot of "7s players" across their squad, including big names like Fancy Bermudez, Alex Tessier, and Liv Apps. Fiji is the other country that has tried this, with not quite as dramatic results.

Aoife Wafer, guys

Sharing this gem from perplexedtv on Reddit: "The difference between success and failure is Wafer thin."

It's so fun to watch a new superstar emerge, and I think I'll remember watching the utterly charming post-game POTM interview from this 21-year-old sunburned ginger for the next 5-10 years as she dominates the game.

WXV1 Week 1

1. USA v England

Prediction: England by a lot, but USA squeezes in a try or a penalty kick or two

Tl;dr: USA has been up front in coach and player interviews leading up to this week that they're trying to emphasize speed and physicality. Look for them to play a many-phase, side-to-side attack that attempts to build pressure through speed of realignment and winning the fold. It only works though if they can get fast ball, which will come down to whether than can win some 1v1 contacts. England is playing a B/C side roster, giving some new faces time while anchoring the squad with a few key players. Despite that, expect England to be England, which is ruthless and clinical.

Players to watch: (England) Alex Matthews at 8, Scarratt at 13, and Kildunne at 15 are the big names in the relatively inexperienced squad. Matthews in particular is kind of a dream backrow, capable of covering all 3 roles there and slotting in at lock if needed. Sarah Bern at 3 is possibly the scariest prop on the world scene, with true finishing speed. (USA) Hope Rogers is back! So I'd bet on her to score USA's points today. B at 15 and Emily Henrich at 13 are actually in the correct positions for once, but they've got quite a daunting ask. Still, with new combinations for England, hoping to see them or our 9 Taina sneak in a break or two.

2. France v Canada

Prediction: Canada by 7

Tl;dr: This is the mouthwatering match today! Canada has consistently outperformed expectations in the past couple years, to the extent that suggests it's our expectations that are the problem. They have the kind of vibe where it feels like it doesn't matter so much who is on the pitch, because anyone can slot into their system and play their role. France is France, so they could be awesome or they coudl French it up. They love a zip and bam, so keep an eye out for that to learn from.

Players to watch: (France) Too many to list! My favorites are Bourdon-Sansus at 9 who on a good day is the best player on the pitch. Vernier at 12 has AMAZING timing on both attack and defense, so watch her to learn for when to sell-out on a dominant tackle and for BAM timing off 9, she's super good at that. Both French locks are super active, including captain Feleu who is also casually beautiful. (Canada) I mean, the pack. The pack is excellent. Deleaka Menin at 3 had an excellent Pac 4, Tyson Beukeboom at 4 has moments of magic, and I love love Pam Buisa, the 6, though I think she's even better off the bench. Tessier at 12 is super important in organizing the backs when they do get the ball, and Fancy Bermudez at 14 is explosive. Tard is super unimpressed/ick-ed out by Schell at 15, so look for her to f up.

3. NZ v Ireland

Prediction: NZ by 30+

Tl;dr: I've been paying the least attention to this one, but hey maybe I'll be wrong! Super curious to see how Ireland does, since they were a surprise entry into WXV1 (their world ranking is lower than Scotland, for example). And I personally am yet to be convinced by the Black Ferns' squad this year, they've made some big calls (especially, ok mostly, at 9) and it often feels like they're a team trying to follow a new system, rather than a team using a system to win. Expect lots of kicking off Maia Joseph at 9, which is medium effective but something that intellectually makes sense, especially with Demant starting at 10 this week rather than the kid Hannah King. Beyond that, they're really trying to get a favorable 1v1 for their back 3, which given their back 3, is a good idea. I do expect their individual quality to just be too good for Ireland.

Players to watch: (NZ) Katelyn Vahaakolo at 11 is a cheat code. I definitely have a crush even if she's a child at 24 years old. There's enviable quality across their backrow between Layla Sae, Kennedy Tukuafu (formerly Simon), and Liana Mikaele-Tu'u of the crazy BIG (back in game) speed. (Ireland) Besides being so hard to find on instagram, Ireland is also at a disadvantage for this coverage in that they are all blonde and look the same?? Just kidding. Neve Jones at 2 is a Hope Cooper-style hooker that takes personal affront if she does not lead the tackle count every game. Aoife Wafer at 6 was really good last W6N. Cool to see Amee-Leigh Murphy Crowe at 11, though I wonder how she will adapt to the lack of space. I think Stacey Flood, who is at 15 here but could also be a 10, is a super underrated player.
