🍉 in what ways has writing helped you process trauma and/or navigate through your own life? some of my best writing i've done when i'm heartbroken. probably because it's a good outlet and i like being able to take my ugly mess of feelings and thoughts and transform them into pretty words.

🤲 what do YOU get out of writing? answered here, but to add: the ability to channel my feral, unhinged thoughts about bland men into something that is enjoyable to consume 😋

2. What fic are you most proud of? ah, the eternally difficult question. currently, 3:56am because i'm finally learning how to practice some god damn brevity. but always a night in paris and a dream come true <3

13. Do you make playlists for your fics? sometimes! usually if i'm either really vibing with it or am in need of some inspiration, though they don't usually get touched once the fic is done. i have one for a dream come true (duh) and love it if we made it. (the others i have are like, 5-7 songs long and very incomplete).

16. What is the best comment you ever received? oh gosh, so many that have left such a mark on me. pretty much every incomprehensible text i get from @smileysvech after i accidentally on purpose kill her with a surprise fic + most comments from 🤍 anon. AND a message from @jarmorie telling me that i got her into hockey bc of my peaky blinders hockey au 🫶🏼 (and now she's out here posting hockey fics of her own!!!!!)

LMAO where do I start? this matt martin longform fic will be the death of me... I made so much progress on it in the last few months but I still have so much more to go and it's really intimidating sometimes. I'm not ready to share a snippet with the public yet but the synopsis:

after her divorce leaves her broken, sophie fraser packs up and moves to a new city where she meets none other than matt martin. when a water main break in her apartment causes sophie to have to move in with him and his wife, a quick friendship forms and the two find out they have more in common than they think.

idk about a deleted scene bc it never got written in the first place, but I had an entire vision of mat‘s reactions as tito shared updates on his relationship progression with harper, particularly the first time they hooked up—at first, barzy didn’t believe him, but once he finally accepted it, you can imagine there was a lot of “dude!”s and “tell her I’m single too”s.

I also had a really great time creating harper’s character and not only came up with a tracklist for her album but also mocked up her instagram grid (below a cut for anyone interested)
